Booked for a weekend away with our dog. Location was perfect for walking. Clean room lovely bar. We ate there both mornings and nights and food was lovely with lots of dog friendly treats available. Owner was super friendly and knowledgeable on the local area. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Very welcoming and pleasant hosts. Parking was at the front or secure for motorcycles at the back. It was just the right spot to stay for my ride down to Patterdale and then onto the Kirkstone Pass.
I was going to stay an extra night but they were booked up. It’s not a dislike, will return on my next Lake District trip.

Easy to find, comfortable and the owner was so helpful. We were late arriving and she left a key out for us and messaged us instructions.
Beds were comfy and breakfast was lovely. Great place to stop over.

Location, good breakfast, good value.
Staff unhelpful. Foul smell in property. Lack of hand soap and pillows in room.

"Gute Lage zum Erkunden des Lake District. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr hundefreundlich (Hunde durfte mit in die Bar und in den Frühstücksraum). Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffe im Zimmer."
