Sigiriya Village

The location was exceptional. You have a clear view of the lion’s rock from the hotel. We had a cottage at paddy field. The room was very spacious and the shower was amazing!

The room didn’t have fridge. And there was a bit of a not-nice smell in our room. But we did not do anything about it since we only stayed for a night.

Leider waren wir nur für eine Nacht, da es sich um eine Durchreise handelte. Die Anlage ist ein Traum, der alte Baumbestand, die Natur, der Ausblick auf den Löwenfelsen, unbeschreiblich schön. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder und werden mindestens 4 Tage einplanen

The staff rude attitude observed many times. I called before arriving and the staff did not even greet. Very cold attitude. Then at reception the people look very confused and check in was not smooth. While having the meals at the buffet the staff removed the food without even having courtesy to inform us. We clearly asked can we use the buffet or shall we order alacart as both cases we have would have to pay anyway. They said take from buffet.If they had told us to order and eat it would have been ok. Imagine someone removing the food items while people are still eating? How a guest would feel? Next day morning i went to the restaurant and i requested to have tea only and later to come for breakfast before it closes. Note my booking included of breakfast. The lady who was uncharged there told me visiting the restaurant twice not allowed. Then i said i will pay for the tea then she asked me to go to the coffee shop. Staff are terrible at key places and not using common sense and like a typical sri lankan government department attitude it was very disappointing and i informed their manager as well.
