Costa Smeralda

Our stay at Costa Smeralda Hotel was a last-minute choice. Overall, the hotel was good, but in my opinion, it is not very suitable for families with children. The property feels a little outdated and could benefit from some renovation. Access to the sea is via lots of stairs, and the water are deep, which can be inconvenient when travelling with children. On the positive side, the swimming pool was very clean and well maintained, and the pool bar was a lovely and relaxing area. The pool area was also suitable and enjoyable for children. Breakfast was okay, but I expected a better selection and quality. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, with some nice facilities, but there is still room for improvement, particularly in terms of renovation and accessibility for families with young children.

The hotel is a little dated and could definitely use some renovation. The access to the sea is by stairs and the water gets deep quite quickly, so it’s not ideal for families with young children. Breakfast was fine, but I expected a bit more variety and better quality

This was a fantastic stay. I loved the place, the room, the amazing view of the coastline from the balcony. And most of all, the fact that you can go down a few steps to reach the private deck of the hotel, from where you can go in the sea. The bar, the pool, the breakfast, the staff, plenty of positive points to add to the list. The location is convenient for the famous Bela Vraka beach (just a short 10 min walk) and about 20 min walk to the main port of Syvota. Excellent value for money and definitely recommended.

Breakfast was great. The view was amazing. Andriana was lovely. The pool and beach platform were fantastic. Close to supermarkets and restaurants.

There was no one at reception on our arrival so we wandered around until a staff member found us. It is a VERY steep hill to walk up from town so if you're not up for that, best not to choose this venue unless you have a car. They need a process in place to check that all amenities in the room are functional after each guest checks out. They also need to note on their advertising what dates the restaurant will be closed. In saying all of the above, we would stay again thanks to the positives.

The location is wonderful, just by Sivota bay with a lovely little private beach. They have a few paddle boards for the use of the costumers. The infinity pool was incredibly nice.

The air conditioning in our room was not working and they didn't think of letting us know when we checked in. They waited for us to call reception in the evening and were so dismissive with us, when it is baking hot in Sivota at the moment. The breakfast is very poor, really yucky juice and coffee and not a great selection. The bedrooms look very dated and not what you expect on a 4 star hotel. We wanted to cancel our room as I made the reservation in error (mistakenly with Sivota in Lefkada) and they were incredibly inflexible. They had zero details with us even though they knew that we were celebrating our 20th anniversary.
