We loved our room, it was beautifully decorated. The staff were really attentive and the building was very charming.

The staff were friendly and the food was wonderful. They took my boys back to the chef so they could give him their compliments. The boys were thrilled.

Good quality produce in breakfast, several choices available. Bedrooms extremely clean, bed very comfortable, lovely bathroom with bath and shower. Dinner was excellent.

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Methuen Arms. Accomodation, food and location are great and the staff are exceptionally good.

A splendid historic Cotswold stone inn imbued with history dating back to the 1400s. Delightful, large room with huge bed, excellent facilities - from good coffee and tea, fresh milk and a teeny, lovely welcome bottle of prosecco to Roberts radio playing soothing music on arrival. Interesting and eclectic furnishing, great lighting and atmosphere. While the hotel has a lively bar, functions room and restaurant downstairs, by bedtime things quietened down and we both slept very well. We used it as a base for two days walking the many heritage trails in the area. The weather was terrible so returning to the warmth of the Methen Arms in the late afternoon mande it very special!

The only thing missing was a toilet brush!

There were a couple of minor cleanliness issues in the room but basically it was good. The hotel was busy and there was a great vibe - staff were friendly and engaged. Service at breakfast was efficient.

My only comment would be that Reception wasn’t manned all the time - you had to go and find someone to assist, but once found, they were great! They did seem to be short of staff, so all credit to them for providing a decent level of service.

Comfortable, well equipped rooms. Really friendly staff, offering great service. Excellent breakfast, and carefully tended gardens.

Shame about the plastic indoor plants.

The room was comfortable, beautiful bathroom. Everything we needed and we even had a couple of complimentary mini bar drinks which was a lovely touch! The food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing for dinner and breakfast and fairly priced as well. I can't recommend this place enough.
