Guanako Rooftop Hostel

By far the nicest hostel I stayed at in Chile. The social area upstairs & roof terrace are wonderful, so is the location. Beautiful view of the Andes and so many restaurants, etc. within a couple blocks. Also wide, comfy beds with huge storage lockers in the rooms. Clean, modern en suite bathrooms with piping hot water. The kitchen was also super clean and bright and the free coffee all day was very nice. (By comparison, I stayed at a hostel in Valparaiso - same price - which was freezing and the kitchen was disgusting and another in Santiago - same price - where all of the furniture was so old and gross you couldn't even sit down anywhere! Also freezing!)

Some of the cacti around the hostel looked like they were dying - maybe somebody should check on them. Pillows were pretty flimsy. More comfy chairs & outlets in the common area would have been perfect. Hard to get any work done on bean bags, a picnic table or wooden steps if the couch and one chair is taken. Also the ledge in the computer room is too small to even hold a computer.

Quarto muito limpo amplo e agradável, áreas comuns organizadas e limpas. Rooftop muito bacana para conhecer outros hóspedes. Pessoal na recepção muito atencioso.

The hostel had a nice rooftop. Rooms were spacious (stayed in a triple room). Lots of wardrobe space.

The room and hostel was very dated and in need of a freshen up. There were marks on the wall and it was generally dated. The room was clean but no bathroom amenities (which you normally get in a private room). Beds were okay but pillows were old / not cushioned so slightly uncomfortable.
