Morizuya is centrally located, with very convenient access to all the public Onsens. The owner is also extremely kind and helpful.

This ryokan is just amazing! The owner welcomed us, he was very friendly and takes the best photos ever. They lend us beautiful yukata. The family room is very big and confortable. The indoor and outdoor onser are amazing, they can be used by the whole family. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The play room is awesome, my kids loved it. The breakfast is great, very complete! We felt very welcome and would love to come back. I totally recommend this place. It is tattoo friendly, same as the onsen in the village. Thanks for a great stay!

wonderful hospitality, and a great experience for our first ryokan.

Location was great, staff very friendly and accommodating. The kimonos offered were a really nice experience as was the tea ceremony by the grandmother. Food was decent, I was expecting better. Room was very spacious and I loved the balcony overlooking the street. The baths in the ryokan were nice & very private.
The plastic table cloth on the table. I get the practicality but it didn’t add any thing to the decor. Could be a nice woven cloth.
Ask for an extra futon - a single is a bit firm.

Room was absolutely beautiful, very traditional Ryokan.
Gorgeous surroundings, the sound of the river and birds through our window. Room was huge too!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice. Location is perfect, right between all 7 onsens and town, easy 5 minute walk from the train station.
we were asked about 4 times on separate occasions whether my fiancé and I were friends- likely just not LGBTQI aware. But felt a little awkward.
Smell of cigarette coming through our window.
Was a little awkward at times, breakfast being set up etc. not knowing what the traditional way to do things was and not being explained things (like when the beds would be set up, when they would be packed away etc.), whether or not to help with same, where shoes can be worn. Communication was a little difficult with some staff as little English spoken.

The owner is very welcoming and available, providing a kimono to the guests and offering his assistance to take pictures.

Location, value for money, rooms
although rooms were available on booking, the owner said that there is no room available?!
asked for breakfast at 8:00 but came 15mins earlier
Onsen open in the morning until 9:30 … they switched lights off at 9:23 although you are inside …!?
I felt rather a superficial hospitality but there is definitely no extra mile…

Manager is super friendly and took initiative to take great photo for us. The yukata range for selection is wide, the staff is very friendly to help with the dress up of yukata.
Nothing dislike.

Morizuya was an incredible experience. The staff were friendly, very knowledgeable, and easily worked around a language barrier. Simply the best night we've had our entire trip.

Everything. Can't say enough good things. The private baths are wonderful, bucket list experiences. The meals are just as amazing and the staff is wonderful. The owner is great and truly makes the whole stay wonderful.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make us have the best possible stay. We really felt at home and comfortable , and could not thank Morizuya more for such an incredible stay. This was absolutely the best hotel/inn experience I’ve ever had and doubt anything else will ever compare. Will absolutely be coming to Kinosaki Onsen again just to stay at Morizuya ❤️

Service was exceptional and room and baths were clean.
Booking.com message did not work and we were not able to have dinner there. Booking.com messaged me last minute about meal plan and was not able to change it.

I don't think I am exaggerating to say that this was the best Ryokan experience I had in years. My room was just nice for one person and had a toilet and a private entryway with a refrigerator. And a kotatsu--I love the kotatsu so much in winter~ The two onsen in the Ryokan can be used privately from check-in and become gender-segregated the next day as I arrived on Sunday. The food was excellent and served in my room. The staff were kind and tried to explain everything to me. I was driven to the train station after check-out in the hotel car--customer service was top-notch~
The stairs did not bother me but it might not be so good if anyone has problems with climbing stairs.

can work just 100 mete to onsen and next to another onsen
check out too early at 10.00 . But at 9.20 I think I can take onsen at hotel just 10 or 15 minute but they say can’t. So, I need check out

Great location and the ryokan’s private onsen was perfect. Staff were nice
Some things were old and wearing out, for example the toilet seat hinge in my room was broken
Unrelated to this ryokan, I would suggest only staying one night in Kinosaki

Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Lady who served us dinner was so committed to giving us a good experience. She made sure everything was perfect - the dinner, yukata, etc. The host drove our luggage to the station on the check out day. We felt very welcome and taken care of. A very memorable trip for us!
Private dinner and breakfast timeslots are not very flexible so you have to accept a timeslot that is available. it was a bit difficult to communicate with some of the staff as they spoke very little English. But these are just minor issues, and did not dampen our amazing experience!

This was probably the most authentic place we stayed in Japan, if you want to immerse yourself into the culture then this is the place to go, the owner is so helpful and friendly and really made us feel at home he took lots of pictures of us and even dropped us back to the station in his car, he helped us with a map and told us the best restaurants too he was so approachable as we’re all the staff!
The hotel has 2 private Onsen’s that you can use with your partner in private which is very rare, we loved the outside one and relaxed in it together multiple times that is a real selling point for this hotel! Also a great location on one of the main streets and a free Onsen pass for all of the Onsen’s which was really handy and supplied free kimonos also.
The breakfast offered was certainly an experience we are not the most adventurous of people it’s a good thing to try but beware that this isn’t your usual breakfast!
because the property is an old style of Ryokan it is dated so don’t expect modern living, however it was still very comfortable and very clean
I didn’t like the sheets on the quilt- they only covered half of it and it made it come off quite easily - full sheets on the duvet would be better!

Mr Hatchi, the hotel manger was hospitable! I had a great stay at the Morizuya. Highly recommended.
Nothing.

walking distance to seven free pass onsens. The owner said during high season will difficult make reservations.

Right in the center of everything, super nice people, spacious and beautiful rooms. The prize was on my upper budget-limit, but I got a lot for that money: an onsen-pass to visit the seven onsen for free, shuttle-bus from the train station and car-ride back to the station, yukata for nice-looking (and photoshoots) and yukata for onsen-stroll etc. The owner took his time to take pictures of me in front of the ryokan. Since I was travelling alone, this was nice too. The ryokan has an onsen itself with indoor and a small outdoor bath, but I personally prefered the 7 big ones in town.
Can't critize anything, except maybe breakfast being just too much for me to eat, but that's a detail. I definitely want to go back there one day.
