The property is ver accessible to the city center. A lovely view of Dalton square. Wa And the property is really value for the money. The staff are so accommodating to my request and made sure that the first night of my Family in UK is unforgettable. Thank you so much

Great location, lovely building.

We’ve been coming here for many years and recommend it to many people. We will continue to use The Borough as our preferred place to stay in Lancaster. It is in need of a bit of TLC currently, a lock of paint and refresh some beds and it will be back to its usual high standards.

The room design, layout, and features were great.

The bedsheets were covered with hairs that did not belong to me or my wife. Very upsetting to see this detail.

The overall impression in this pub/hotel is very welcoming, with a nice public bar at the entrance and friendly staff. My room was far better than I had imagined, very large, with adequate storage, and tastefully furnished. My only problem is a common one - the bed was too soft for my taste. Breakfast service lasted until mid-day, which could be useful for some people, and the full-English was very good. I had a large bathroom with a very good shower cubicle. Lunch and dinner is available in the bar.

Perfect for my stay, the room had a great view, was large and spacious. Staff were friendly and great. Breakfast was superb. Perfect location for my needs. Thanks for a great stay.

We had room 10 which is located out on street to the left of building as you look at it. Lovely room with sofa/lounge area, open plan. Lovely modern bathroom with walk in shower. Great little outdoor courtyard with table and chairs, very private. 5min walk into city centre. About 15min walk to train station. Hotel has nice bar area with lots of different seating and little rooms, quite unique.

The hot shower stopped after 9 or 10pm maybe just during my stay but the staff helped a lot at the first night

In room drinks could include hot chocolate or the like as a night drink. We arrived late...so that would be better than coffee or tea

Nothing it is disgusting there and the people don’t care!

The rooms are gross, and the stairs to get to them are dangerously steep. We went in the room it smells like mold. We told them my relative could not go up the stairs. And they would not do anything for us. I top of the room floors being uneven and smelly carpet, the bathroom has black mold. We did not stay there and they would not refund they basically stole money from us! Should have zero star rating!!

Beautiful building, location perfect, the staff where very attentive and polite. Very Relaxed feeling to the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, very modern, lovely big comfy bed. Food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks a lot to chose from. Definitely be back.

The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were asked every morning whether we wanted our room cleaning or not. The bed was large and comfortable, although quite creaky. Fantastic location.

We booked a luxury room, but the room we were allocated was standard. There is quite a lot of noise at night from other hotel guests. The bedroom doors tend to bang quite loudly. The bed, although comfortable, creaked with every movement and sometimes woke us up. The food was expensive and there are better quality restaurants close by for the same price i.e. The White Cross.

Huge , 2 roomed suite with big, comfy bed , tasteful decor and modern, en suite bathroom with excellent walk in shower and even a speaker relaying sound from the tv in the bedroom ! Staff were all extremely welcoming, helpful and pleasant.

In contrast to our elegant accommodation the dining room and bar areas had more of a large pub chain vibe than that of a Georgian hotel.The food( we had afternoon sandwiches and breakfast) was hearty pub grub rather than fine dining. We were a bit disappointed not to find dressing gowns and slippers in the room- though it was so big that we could have missed them!

I thought everything about breakfast was excellent, good choice well presented and prepared in additional to the flawless service

Absolutely nothing I could fault

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, while the room was pristine, clean and spacious. The hotel is in an excellent location from which to explore Lancaster.

There's no parking on site, and parking in the nearby carparks is expensive (£12 per day). A £10 surcharge for an early check-in was also a little much; but the free tea instead was a nice touch.
