We loved everything about our stay

The hosts were absolutely wonderful so friendly, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I genuinely felt like I was staying with family rather than at a guesthouse. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. I’m truly grateful for their hospitality and would definitely love to stay here again. Highly recommended! ❤️

Very good location close to all attractions you'll want to see in the city, and with a gorgeous view. They offer tours to wineries or monasteries around the region for a fair price, which is especially worth it you're able to split the cost with other guests. Host is super friendly. We arrived late in the afternoon and hadn't eaten all day, so he offered us a snack, and even some homemade wine. We met him at random in the city at a wine tasting he has been running, so he gave us a free tasting with very interesting explanations. The breakfast and dinner (for an extra 50 lari) they serve are simple food but a fun communal experience. It is an amazing place to stay if you're looking to meet fellow travellers in family-style meals. The host is also a great entertainer during those! Even though we chose to skip the dinner due to the price, he invited us to join them for the wine drinking that followed, at no cost. There we were able to meet other travellers with whom we could take a couple of day trips. We heard they are really helpful about washing and drying laundry. You are welcome to help yourself to coffee or tea in the communal eating area at any time.

The room is small and next to a shared living room space, with thin walls. Most of the time, nobody really uses it, but when they do, you can hear everything. The bathroom has the layout where the shower is pretty much on top of the toilet bowl, so everything gets flooded when you shower. There was often a smell of sewage stemming from it, either from some pipe that runs through it or coming back up from a drain. We never found the AC remote, but we never asked as we didn't need it. The common spaces of the house are chaotic and cluttered, which can be homey but leads you to worry about cleanliness. The electric kettle in the communal kitchen is in dire need of descaling, as its bottom is full of calcified buildup. Payment is cash only, which is common but good to know about in advance.

Conveniently located, acceptable but not outstanding facilities and comfort.

This is one of only 2 accommodations in a five week trip that we found unsatisfactory. On our arrival we were advised that our room was not available for us to stay in and we were left feeling that we had inconvenienced them. We were given a different room but not given a key. It was hard to find staff when we had questions eg what time was the included breakfast and where was it located. We asked about tours that they offered when we arrived and were told we would be given the details later. This wasn’t until breakfast the next morning, by which time we had already made other plans. The general feeling was one of a rather disorganised multigenerational family home running an accommodation offering as one of its services. It has received surprisingly high review scores on this platform. We feel that the accommodation offered is of a low standard, pitched at a high volume market. For example, a previous review mentioned that having a shower would leave water on the bathroom floor. We can confirm that this is because there is no shower door or curtain. The shower hose also didn’t work, only the lower tap, which made it very hard to wash hair. The bathroom smelt wet and musty. The breakfast food was simple. It included reheated khachapuri, sliced processed meat and instant coffee. We chose to leave a night earlier than we had booked.
