Ryogoku View Hotel

Very good location, close to the central train station, with easy access to Akihabara, Shibuya and other important areas. The neighbourhood is a sumo shrine, with Japan's top sumo hall just around the corner and lots of sumo memorabilia, plus breakfast options for putting on weight.

The breakfast was fine, with enough Japanese options, but the international/European food was limited, and when it ran out, it was not refilled.

We love the location, close to the station and lots of restaurants. The area feels less touristy than the more popular parts of Tokyo.

First off location location location. The Ryogoku View Hotel is located right next to the Ryogoku Train Station which is super convenient! Your hotel room is bigger than most Japan hotel rooms. When booking this hotel It would behoove you to also book a show at the Sumo Arena because it is the next building after the train station. Train station less than a minute walk away, 711 & a Newdays located in that same station. Lastly there are a ton of restaurants located within the vicinity and for the indecisive, there’s a McDonald’s right across the street.

My only absolute issue with the place is the smoking area is at the train station and not within the facility itself, but that’s coming from a smoker.

The location of this property cannot be beaten. Great local neighbourhood. Great proximity to food. Great distance from a train station.

Look, you get what you paid for. Our room was tiny. The pillows had these rock things in them and the third bed was like rock.
