Superb position overlooking waterhole and fabulous suite beautifully furnished.
No nibbles in room

What an exceptional place - from the staff to the facilities, the food and the views - we could not fault a thing.
I travelled with my 14 year old Son - he was in absolute awe of everything.
The only downside is the fact that South Africans have to pay US Dollars.
Had the experience been more affordable we would return on an annual basis - the rand dollar exchange just does not allow for this.
It would be incredible if a regional rate could be made available.

Room was very good, lodge gave that nice African feel with great sunset over the water hole.
Disappointed that as a guest the restaurant was fully booked out to non residents!

Beautiful lodge, somewhat corporate but very nicely presented, the views were just stunning and although our room was around the corner from the waterhole we still had a lovely view of the bush and animals.

The view is just amazing, wish I stayed longer so I could have actually enjoyed the facilities instead of marvelling at all the wildlife. Great staff too, very friendly and helpful.
I had been on a tour and stayed near a water hole so thought it might be underwhelming after all that, but no, it exceeded my expectations.
Not staying long enough! That's my problem not theirs

Fantastic location, you will see a lot of animal life around the waterhole, from the bar/restaurant or from your room balcony. I believe this is the best lodge for that area.
Great activities desk, will help you book all the necessary tours/safaris of good quality
Very calm at night, and you can keep some fresh air coming in through the balcony metal mesh doors
You need to come with the right mood - this is Africa and it is not easy to get the service level one might be used at luxury resorts, but the personnel is trying at their best
Aircon was not working but we did not need it in July

I am really delighted and recommend this hotel to all my friends. Big greetings to the hotel management team and the SPA salon, where I spent an unforgettable few hours.

The view over the waterhole from the bar / pool was amazing. Elephants came each afternoon to drink. I had baboons on my balcony. Wart hogs by my door. You are really among the wildlife, which is such a treat. The Spa is also very much worth a visit. So tranquil.
The food was not great. Eat elsewhere if you can. Breakfast was chaotic in the morning. The lamps in my room didn't work, which meant I had to have the main light on, or darkness.

The views were absolutely incredible! My room was very nice, and the view overlooking the watering hole was definitely unforgettable. Great cocktails too!

This is the most beautiful place i have ever stayed in. Amazing waterhole view with a lot of animals just outside, delicious breakfast, and professional staff, especially Colette who helped us book all the activities !
The check-in is a bit slow because the rooms are very big so they need a lot of time to prepare them, so if you're arriving before 14:00, be prepared to wait a little bit.

Heard hyena during the night and saw a herd of elephant going past down to the waterhole whilst having my morning coffee!

Everything about the lodge met and exceeded my expectations, from the amazing breakfast whilst at the same time being able to view / experience wildlife at a nearby waterhole, there cannot be many places that offer scenes so beautiful.
Nothing everything was lovely, the staff were magnificent in every way, always there and willing & waiting to go out of there way to please

Location was amazing: view over the waterhole made all the difference!
All the staff was amazing, very helpful, they all went the extra mile. SO lovely.
Very good breakfast (scrambled eggs and poached eggs)
Hotel and rooms in general are a bit tired, a refresh is needed...
Wifi was on and off in the room (maybe too far ?)
Food was ok-ish (bar menu and diner)

liked the view of the waterhole
we were given different accommodation to what we booked and extremely overpriced for what you got. A 4 star experience for a 5 star price also food menu could be improved

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the watering hole. Pool side was great
Food was disappointing and a letdown. Breakfast was below average for the price. Extremely expensive

excellent location and beautiful sunset views nice attentive service.
the hotel is dated and overpriced for the standard it offers. i arranged a pick up from the airport and no one showed up and i had to take a taxi. when advised at the hotel no one even apologised… the price tag of 500 USD was justfied perhaps 20 yrs ago but at present it is more a 3/4 star property..

Excellent location with views of Zambezi National Park amazing. We were given interconnected rooms as travelling with 2 kids. Rooms were very clean and equally very comfortable. The restaurant and the bar over looking the national park were excellent. Food options were plenty and chef equally good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I had also contacted them through email for rebooking activities which they organised and all went smoothly.
The vulture culture experience is truly unique experience and very informative one too.
Not much. I wouldn't recommend the Boma experience but this isn't part of hotel stay and an optional experience offered by the hotel group.

Overall, everything was very nice, especially after coming from a more basic camp location with limited services. Grace was very helpful in booking activities.
When we arrived, we didn't initially have the extra bed for our daughter and I had to go back to the front desk a few times to get that completed. We also booked a ride to the airport and I was told that it would arrive at 7:30 AM. The ride didn't show up, however, the gentleman at the front was able to convince a shuttle driver to take us to the airport. We later found out that the reason our shuttle didn't show up was because our flight had been moved from 9:30 AM to 7:15 AM without any notification from either the shuttle company or the hotel (although I don't really blame them) or the airline or kiwi.com. (addin that in just in case someone reading this is flying on Air Zimbabwe - they changed the flight the evening before. So, check several several times on flights.
Overall, the hotel was great, but I feel like we paid Ritz Carlton prices for something less than a Ritz experience.

Amazing views over the waterhole and Zambezi National park. The location was great as it is nice to be 5 mins outside of town rather than being in the centre as it felt as though you were in the bush.
The rooms are impressive and have all you need!
Helicopters flying to the landing strip nearby
8.0
Location, setting, detail of the hotel building itself, Room layout, grounds etc friendliness of staff and drivers
The Buffalo bar stops serving food at 6pm.
Certain individual workers need to be directed to exercise better personal hygiene . This was isolated instances.
In my view supervision can be improved
