Quite surprised that in a family home, with a fire- there is no fire screen - not safe with kids!

Great location, walk to beach, beautiful little house. Very quiet and we had all we needed.

The pots and pans - yo need to invest is some better quality ones - they stick and they can even burn water!

This is a terrific property in a great location. The location to the beach, which was also dog-friendly, was excellent, and we had many a late afternoon walk to take in the sunset which was spectacular. Also an easy 20-30 minute walk into Cowes along the beach or a 2 minute drive. The house has heaps of room for our family of 6 to spread out, with very well appointed kitchen with plenty of cups plates etc and good appliances. Plus there's a great enclosed yard for the dog.

The oven symbols have all but worn off so is was quite a pain to work it out and no obvious instructions around. Likewise the induction hotplate took some getting used to with the pans supplied. There is no central heating. The reverse cycle in the main living area is very good, but you have to keep it pumping the whole time. The fireplace fan is also good in the same room and has a fan. This doesn't help in the other rooms though and there is only one other heater provided, a column heater which you can move from room to room. It's not the end of the world but you just have to be a bit flexible.

Great, well-maintained backyard, which our little boy loved exploring. Nice sized rooms, clean, great wifi, relaxing shower, big bbq. Perfect location one block from the doggie beach.

kitchen pantry had a huge assortment of items/foods that appeared to be left by other guests, some left open, so was hesitant to use anything. Maybe needs a bit of a clean out and stocked with new and fresh items before people arrive.

Not enough beds set up and no extra linen to set up ourselves. Not enough towels. No contact on weekend to rectify. I had booked for 9 and only set up for 8. Property wasn’t very clean when we arrived, lots of cob webs. Kitchen - not enough rubbish bags - we purchased and left extras there Some knives were dangerous with blades coming away from handles, blade could easily have fallen onto someone’s foot if we hadn’t realized - I left them on the window sill. Outside - decking bits falling off. Chairs couple of rungs fell off - suggest checking for safety reasons.

Ample space including a great backyard. Location was wonderful. Everything you need is in the house. Open fire on the chilly days was wonderful.

A suggestion to have more firewood including appropriate sizing and stored close to the house.
