being able to sit at the window and look out across the water to Granite island and the park across the road.

When I ordered a drink at the bar, a spirit and mixer, and asked for a long glass it came back in a schooner glass. Way to much mixer and no alcohol taste at all.

Upgraded general property (dining areas, gaming room)

Room was generally great condition but “bathroom “ needs an overhaul- consider having lights to bathroom and entrance not on same switch- disturbs other occupants in the room when using bathroom at night

Beachfront location literally midtown and only 200 m from the bridge to Granite Island.

I would not consider this hotel for a second stay. Very weak price-performance relation. Just a party place for drinkers and gamblers. This is by the ways how the hotel advertises. Small out-worn rooms with melly carpet. 1970 style for instance with a shower curtain instead of a proper shower cabin. Owner of the place seems to be too greedy for investment and charges only. To provide a picture of the "party guests" here comes an incident: Someone went sick into the restaurant's men's urinal. I don't know if this is common in Australia but this is definitely not the place and people you want to spent your holiday with!
