The staff are the absolute best. Exceptional customer service, communication and professionalism. The staff was the highlight of our trip.! Best hotel staff I've experienced in Jamaican hotels.
The spa was great although quite pricey.
Nice people, facilities and great entertainment and activities.
The food was poor as none of the Jamaican dishes apart from the jerk hut during the daytime was authentic. I was disappointed to hear they cater for mainly Spanish visitors to the island. I know hotel food is commercialised and Iberostar is a Spanish hotel, but at Iberostar the food is so watered down, the taste is undesirable and people come to Jamaica looking forward to the food. The Jamaican restaurant in the evening on the beach was the biggest letdown - you could tell the seasoning was influenced by non authentic Jamaican culinary skill. I would believe that the majority of visitors to Jamaica including the Spanish would want to try authentic dishes. This was a real shame. It seems catering is only for (Spanish) visitors in mind and not Jamaicans including overseas ones like myself visiting!
Our room had a damp sewage smell but the reception staff kindly informed us that there was a plumbing problem that they were trying to sort and did give us the opportunity to change rooms.
It was a shame the beach was stoney but I know parts of my Jamaican sea is still recovering from the hurricane.
Would have been nice to use facilities at sisters hotel.
