Good location, frequent buses into the centre (100,112 and 114) from the main road. Excellent local food shopping. The hosts were lovely and extremely attentive and helpful.

The owner explained that the small house we’re staying in is part of the main house next to it which is 100 years old. There is a hallway, spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen upstairs which overlooks the living room, guest bathroom, dressing room, bedroom with a very comfortable bed and bathroom with a bathtub. So there is a lot of space to move around which we really liked and needed, after staying in a very small hotel room in Paris. The house is located approximately 2 km from the city centre of Fort-De-France We were welcomed by the owner and his son who explained everything to us. Since we arrived by taxi they also asked us if we are going to rent a car, since it would be easier to get around the island. We decided to rent a car and the next day the owner drove us to the airport so that we could pick up the car. This was something that he didn’t have to do but did anyway, so that was amazing! Since the kitchen is fully equipped we were able to prepare all of our meals and keep our food stored in the fridge. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk from the house so it’s easy and very convenient to go grocery shopping. We stayed for 4 nights and instead of feeling like a guest we had the feeling we lived there, so thank you for making us feel so welcome! If we ever come back we would definitely stay here again!
