Prana Boutique Hotel Tulum

Mooi nieuw verzorgd hotel waar je een goede nachtrust kan krijgen. Prima zwembad erbij.

Kamers zijn minimalistisch ingericht met nagenoeg geen opbergruimte. Er is geen echte badkamer aanwezig waardoor je douche en toilet zich gewoon echt in je kamer bevinden. Dit vonden wij niet fijn en fris. Ontbijt was matig en moest worden genuttigd bij een restaurant om de hoek.

Rooftop is really nice, pool is nice with a good amount of beds, a nice setting for the restaurant. Rooms are a great size.

Area is not the prettiest (not the fault of property), breakfast in the morning can be slow.

Our stay in Tulum was short notice but great! The Hotel was an excellent choice, the rooms, common areas, everything was super beautiful and well working. Breakfast was also very good. Location was great, close to restaurants, supermarkets, bike rental shops (best choice for Tulum - visiting ruins or the beach).

Little improvements would be nice on the room. There are not enough places to hang the towels in the bathroom - they end up on top of the counter and only a small mirror in the bathroom, but there is a big one in the room. There is no stand to place your luggage so everything kinda stays on the floor, which is ok, but for a hotel of this type I would expect more.

The pool area is really nice and relaxing.

The welcome is already annoying. You get told a million rules, have to pay lots of deposit, sign many things like you might be a criminal... The hotel was empty and yet even an hour check-out later was not possible free of charge. At night we expected a really quiet night but it was ultra loud both nights. Not sure if it was the generator or what it was but made it impossible to sleep properly. The staff at breakfast again made you feel really unwelcome. They explain the menu and what you're allowed to order and when you order extra, they reiterate many times that you have to pay extra, just to make sure you have the money.... And then there's check out where again, they treat you like you might be a bad behaved person where they go to the room first to check if you left the room in a decent state before releasing the money. So while you're waiting you get eaten alive by mosquitos.
