Hotel Harbour View Colaba

The location is perfect - we have stayed here before and would definitely stay again . The staff are all friendly and very helpful

The rooms state sound proof - but are not. The rooms are clean but could do with a deep clean

The room was well decorated and the location was extremely central to city hotspots. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly.

It wasn't a deal breaker but breakfast could've been a bit more extensive in options and improvements could be made to the quality of the drinks served such as a coffee machine that also does tea instead of hot water in a flask.

Great position, a few steps from the Gateway of India and Colaba Causeway. Good range of restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Good WiFi.

The room did not have any views. In general, reception could have been more friendly and more helpful.

Reception staff was rude and condescending. Their Imperious attitude was completely counter-productive with this foreign visitor, although members of the National community may be more willing to accept the verdicts they hand out. When I arrived for check-in, I was told three times that I did not have a booking. I showed them my CONFIRMED booking, and after five minutes they produced a printout indicating my reservation was "Modified" but seemingly not confirmed by the hotel. I do not recall "modifying" my booking, which clearly was CONFIRMED. Despite this trifle, they deigned to allow me to check in. They refused to honor my request for a 1 PM checkout, one hour after their normal 12 noon checkout - as my international flight did not depart until 8 PM. I did not really feel welcome at this hotel.
