Location was perfect. Alain was an excellent host. He met us at property and gave us all the information we needed and was very facilitating re arrival time. The apartment is on the ground floor of a very old, historic building close to shops, an excellent bakery, lots of restaurants, public transport and within walking distance of all the key sights. The apartment is fully fitted out for two people. It met all our needs. We didn’t cook at all so can’t comment on the cooking facilities.

Nothing to say here. Weather was in low 20s when we were there so fan in bedroom was adequate. However, as there is no air conditioning , it would be much less comfortable during all the heatwaves of this summer.

Friendly personal welcome from host. Very convenient location for exploring Bordeaux. Very comfortable bed and all that was needed for a very enjoyable stay in the apartment. Complimentary coffee pods, tea bags, juice and water a lovely touch.

Everything worked! The bathroom, kitchen and appliances are all relatively new and worked well. Windows are ancient and huge. Windows are double paned and shuttered. There were 3 fans. The location is right in the middle of many shops and restaurants. It is on the ground floor, no lift needed. We will return to enjoy Bordeaux again.

It was uncomfortably hot. We were there during many days of 100+ degree weather. The apartment is not air conditioned. The sun set around 10:30 pm, so no relief from the heat until nearly midnight when the air outside was cool enough to open the huge windows, however, with no bars or screens over the windows and being on the ground floor where anyone or animal could easily climb in, we did not keep them open while we slept. The mornings were nice with windows open and the small apartment cooled quickly. We closed it all up to keep the cool air in while we went out , but it was uncomfortably warm when we returned. The apartment got to feeling small and cramped. We did not find the bed and furniture comfortable. The hall and living room closets smelled damp., leaving only a small closet in the bedroom for our clothes. The view is of a dusty courtyard parking lot. Most of the nearby shops and restaurants were not air conditioned, so it was hard to find nearby relief. Thank goodness for air conditioned museums and tours. We will return to Bordeaux again at a time with cooler weather.

Die Lage mitten im Zentrum ist ideal. Die ÖV sind gut ausgebaut, der grösste Teil ist fussläufig erreichbar. Das Appartement war ein echtes Bijou ! Die Ausstattung, der Komfort, die Sauberkeit und speziell auch die Ruhe waren einmalig. Der Gastgeber Alain ist ein äusserst hilfsbereiter Mann, der uns sehr viele Tipps zusammengestellt hat. Er war bei Fragen praktisch immer erreichbar. Wer Bordeaux erleben möchte, sollte hier buchen!

Keine Beanstandungen, noch irgendwelche Verbesserungen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.
