The Anchor Inn Beachfront Motel

What great location on the beach front. Our room was really perfect. Clean, spacious, well equipped. And the team has been so great with us. Check out time is 10:00 but as this was a beautiful morning we decided that we would go for a nice walk right after breakfast and before checking out. Unfortunately, we miscalculated the time needed for the walk and we came back at 11:20. The manager tried to call us but I did not take my phone with me. When we got back I of course apologized and the manager simply said “this is such a beautiful morning, I hope you had a nice walk and you could enjoy the area”. I would like to apologize again for my mistake as I know how painful I it is for the cleaning team to have to wait for the customers to leave the room. But thank you for this reaction. We really appreciated. And the place is really awesome.

Nothing negative to say.

Superb location, tidy room, friendly and helpful host.

Stunning view, cosy, exceptionally clean. Exactly what I needed

A delightful hotel right near the water in Kaikoura. Waking up to the sunrise and hearing the waves crashing outside was a real highlight. Everything was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Bed was excellent, bathroom had everything you could possibly need, and every detail was considered. As a bonus, it has both a split AC for winter (and summer) and a separate wall and bathroom heater. A small kitchenette had everything needed for cooking. No notes!
