Hosts hospitality and the location.

The entrance to the suite from the backyard wasn't clean. The suite adjacent to ours has plenty of scrap lying outside their door which made the passage to our suite very messy! This aspect requires a sincere attention by the owners.

Very friendly and helpful host, very convenient location for us. We got an apartment in the basement, which turned out to be comfortable due to high temperature outside.

The beds were very comfortable. Nice to have wifi access and large tv. Appliances worked well. Good location for our first stop. Host was quick to respond to messages and checked in with us.

The place needed a little touch up with cleanliness. The doors could have been wiped down and the walls needed a fresh coat of paint.

This is one of two basement suites in this house. The other suite appears to have full time renters. On the particular night we stayed there, the full time renters children were very loud until just after 11pm. After I contacted the host, That noise stopped, however the noise of running water (sink, toilet) could still be heard periodically until the renters went to sleep. After that noise stopped, I could hear someone talking off and on until 4am. Not loudly, but enough to keep me awake. Periodically there was a loud noise that sounded like a chair being moved on the floor. That ended around 4am as well. The host was apologetic and thought perhaps the late night talking and noise was from a family member in the main floor area above our suite. She said they'd be taking measures so the noises would be advised. I understand we're renting space in someone's home and that there will be noises from others living there. They have the right to live their lives. The problem is that the walls between the basement suite allow a lot of the noise through. I could hear entire conversations next door, word for word. While they may be able to dampen the chair noise from upstairs, you'll still be able to hear the talking, unless they take extreme measures to insulate between walls and floor/ceiling spaces.

It was clean and a quiet neighborhood. Jane was very responsive with issues about cold, etc.

It is NOT a two bedroom. They put a queen bed in the kitchen area instead of a sofa or living room space. The fridge makes noise. Also it's quiet a bit of stairs going down which was not expected. The power went off fot an hour so no tv for 24 hours after power was back. No mirror in the actual bedroom. Two dressers and desk in bedroom made it cramped for space; bed was against the wall with no space to get out on one side. The bedroom bed dipped us to the middle of the bed.
