Just two adults and a pup and it was the perfect space. Close enough to the shops and quite close to a nice walk along the water. Great size for us and lovely neighborhood.

My family enjoyed our stay at the cottage! Everything was so tidy and ready for our use. We brought two large dogs, and it worked out so well with the fenced in backyard. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. We were a half mile from the beach and a couple of blocks from a public pier.Even though we stayed for the Fourth of July weekend, it still wasn’t very crowded. After the holiday, it was even more quiet and there was a lot of privacy. If we ever decide to vacation again at Colonial Beach, I will definitely be contacting the owners of this property.

House was adorable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Close to everything and a great neighborhood to walk our dog in. My partner, our dog and I would absolutely book this spot again. Thanks for the great stay Missey!

My friend and I brought our dogs (3 total) for a weekend getaway; this was huge as not everyone is okay with this many dogs and the property didn't charge us extra pet fees. This house was perfect for our needs. Not too far from Northern VA, it was a relatively easy drive for us. The house had everything we could need, and the fenced yard was perfect for the dogs. We were able to take many nice walks around the area, checked out the river and bay sides of the peninsula, and spent a great day at the beach. I'd imagine it gets crowded in the summer, but for a Saturday in early June, the beach wasn't packed at all! Missie, the property owner, was very helpful and incredibly responsive to any questions we reached out with. The house was ready early, so we were able to check in early, and since no one would be staying Sunday night, we were told we could stay til late afternoon instead of the 11am checkout. We had an excellent trip and will absolutely be booking another stay for next year!

If your not into fancy but need amenities for a short or long term stay this is the perfect place. My parents like simple so they felt at home. The dogs loved the yard. Bring bug spray. Only recommendation: cooler sheets on the beds. Highly recommend ❤️

Cutest little cottage ever!! Only down side was the sand fleas/gnats. Maybe the town should treat the beaches. Not a lot to do which was perfect for me. Great time relaxing. I would stay again!!!

We enjoyed our stay in this charming little house with our son's large German Shephard. The house is neat, comfortable and has a nice fenced backyard. Excellent location for walking, biking and swimming. Easy walk to town and the beach. Very relaxing!
