Reviewer Comments: Gertie East is in a wonderful position, q one block from beach, one block to shops etc.The pool is an added bonus, you have it yourself as the other half of the unit is used by the owners on an occasional basis, so it’s quiet.Although a little dated the overall furnishings are what you would expect for a rental of this trap, comfortable, great TV for those wet days.Florida dreams wh manage the unit were e helpful when required, answered any questions. Managed to get the unit ready form occupancy only one week after hurricane Ian.There was no telephone in the property which would have been useful -reservations etc.

We absolutely loved Gerties. The description and reviews were so accurate. The proximity to the beach was perfect, especially since we had a cart. An additional wagon would be great, but the cart was a huge plus. We never had duplex neighbors so the pool was all ours for the entire week. Only two complaints: we had to buy a pot to cook with - there was only a sauce pan. We left the pot we bought, but it highlights the lack of cooking utensils. They could be freshened up and replenished. And the beds were not up to what they should be. The king bed was "ok;" we tried the pull out couch since the king was ify, the couch bed really, really needs to be replaced. Other than those two things, it was an amazing, amazing spot to relax and just unwind. (Oh, the outdoor furniture on the patio and pool deck both need cleaning and refreshing. The table by the pool is so rusted we didn't want to even lay our towels on it.) Sorry for the complaints, we truly loved our stay. Just a couple of refreshes and this would be 100% perfect. We will, without a doubt, be returning. Thank you for an amazing vacation!!

Great location, very quick walk to the beach. Pool was kinda small, more like a wading pool, couldn't really swim in it, if you're thinking of doing laps like me anyway. Owners were quick to get get back with me as far as any questions I had. Place was clean and quiet! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks guys!

We did not have neighbors so it was perfect. Place a little beat up on first impression on the outside otherwise it was great. I would have to confirm that the other cottage would be empty if we would stay there again. Flagstones to the pool area would be nice. A little table to put drinks down so the gate can be opened also would be nice. And a patio umbrella

We had a good time in Anna Maria, in spite of the colder weather. The good - the location. The bad - the couch and chair were old, uncomfortable and clearly in need of replacement. There is no washer / dryer, however we were given only 3 bath towels. Called for more, someone dropped off another set of sheets, no towels and no call back.

I have to say the inside was as described and perfect for two people. You have to keep in mind it isn't a five star hotel, it has a very laid back feel to it and once inside my husband and I felt at home and comfortable. We have stayed at several resorts and rental houses on the island and this by far was the most convenient and comfortable. It is bright and airy, well decorated and private. The pool, which is on the side of the owner's unit was available only to us, which was great. There were plenty of chairs to host company after a long day at the beach or just relaxing and floating before heading out for the day. The kitchen was well equipped, although this trip we only prepared one meal. The bathroom is small, but again, light and airy. The staff was great, we took the opportunity to visit the office and introduce ourselves personally. We had family vacationing across the street and their complaint were the stairs. We would park out front or to the side and walk right in, no stairs to drag our beach stuff in and out everyday. I look very forward to returning to Gertie's in the future. If you have an interest in renting this cute beach cottage, you will not be disappointed. The Monkey Bus pick up was right outside our door. The trolley a few streets away, the beach was so walkable and the area was nice.

We came without our daughter last year and through pictures she chose this place instead of Disney world. She’s 8! We were so comfy on our beach house and cooked such wonderful meals and spent lots of time between the beach and the pool. We slept wonderfully each night. We plan to come back next year!

Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Very close to Publix and also Walgreens and Dollar Store and much more. My husband and I really enjoyed Gerties and the privacy and the private pool. I hope to return soon.
