Rose of York

We liked the fact that we were allowed to book in early in order to change for a wedding up the road. The Car Parking was included, which in this area is a bonus. Also, the location is very good with views towards the Thames in the distance.

Rooms were very basic with one bedside table and no TV. The extractor fan just seemed to make a noise.

Good location and nice view of River. Felt very safe. Value for money and comfortable beds. On a good bus route to Kew Gardens and Station with Restaurant on site.

Bathroom a bit run down but adequate. Could do with updating.

The location is good we love the walk by the river into Richmond and the nice cafes on the way

As a very old property you expect quirky but this feels stuck in the 80s the walls in our bedroom where dirty with chipped plaster the ensuite had mould in the tiles and the radiator or something was leaking leaving pools of water that dispute us reporting was not cleared up. The furniture is old but wouldn’t seem bad if the room was decorated. The bed was really uncomfortable and the mattress needs replacing. We have stayed before and had a room upstairs again tired but you could forget that as the view of the river and park made up for it however this time we were ground floor with a view of the beer garden

It's fine for what it is and near to the river and to Richmond Park where we had an event the next day. But its really quite tired and uninspiring. The road facing rooms are noisy.
