Excellent location, room was simple but comfy, great balcony, good breakfast (no buffet).
At arrival they couldn't find the booking and the next morning at breakfast again we weren't on the list.

This is a lovely hotel. The external architecture and dining room are "old world" in the best possible sense, taking you back to Bulgaria in its heyday. The room was a generous size and quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was generous (I believe that it was extra). Overall, staying here was a very pleasant experience.
It was possibly because I first came across a Bulgarian trait at this particular hotel that I put a low score for "Staff". The concept of providing any form of service to the customer, seemed to be a notion that the male night receptionist had never heard of. In the Hotels defence I was to come across this many times throughout Bulgaria so it is not specific to them

Very clean, with a warm and friendly welcome. Secure parking, a comfortable bed, and a good breakfast made our stay enjoyable.
There is no elevator.

"Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt und hat ein Restaurant gleich im Haus. Es ist ein Altbau und sehr gut gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter/innen sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit."
