Crowne Plaza Budapest by IHG

We had a fantastic stay overall. The hotel is located slightly away from the center near a train station, which initially made us a bit hesitant due to the usual station surroundings, but it honestly wasn't bad at all, and the area felt fine. Our room offered a great view, and both the bedroom and bathroom were super spacious. The only minor issue we ran into was the air conditioning. Even on the coldest setting, it wasn’t very strong, and I 100% would struggle to stay here during summer months. It was pushing it during our stay and I travel with a little travel fan so that helped. I have athsma so it’s hard for me. It would be wonderful if management could look into sorting that out. The bed is super big and comfy. Very comfy cushions. Loads of towels. All mode cons. Lovely room. That said, what truly sets this hotel apart is its phenomenal staff. On our first night, I discovered I had lost part of my essential medicine that I cannot take breaks from at all and we were facing the prospect of having to fly home early. We went to the front desk and met the lovely Victoria, who was the absolute epitome of professionalism. She calmed us down, showed incredible human empathy, and helped us every step of the way by organizing a doctor to visit the hotel. She saved our trip! On our last day, we had the fortune of meeting Patrik, another absolute treasure of a staff member. He is super knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and we even enjoyed chatting with him about traveling and Hungary. He was also a huge help in getting our train booked before we had to rush off. Both Victoria and Patrik are an absolute credit to the Crowne Plaza brand. You can't teach the kind of natural hospitality they both have in spades. Despite the AC hiccup, which I sincerely hope the management team will resolve, we would without a doubt stay here again, and we hope to cross paths with Patrik again in the future!

Helpful staff

Nothing

Staff were really good , especially the women at reception she is fabulous but property was too basic

Small room and lack offacilities
