I stayed in a villa with its own pool. The rooms are very light, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff are amazing. Made from reception and Putu from housekeeping, were unbelievable when I lost a shopping bag and phone during my stay. I lost them both when on the back of a motor bike and didn’t realise until I got to the hotel. they both stepped in and helped me. My phone had been handed into the local community and Putu took me out there to find out where exactly and with who. Made was calm and kind when I was very worried. My bag got handed in by a delivery driver to the shop that I had bought it from!! The hotel is in a perfect spot, walking distance from the centre but also close to the fantastic Zest for lunch and the amazing Alchemy yoga complex and in the middle of the beautiful Penestanan area. It's a creative and arts hub with lovely winding laneways dotted with cafes, healing studios and little shops. The hotel has a beautiful Balinese feel to it and the gardens are so beautiful, the gardenias were flowering with the most amazing scent wafting through the walkways. The spa overlooks rice paddy fields....it was so relaxing having a foot massage there. I enjoyed the vegetarian pumpkin breakfast...so different and a delicious start to the day I feel this hotel was an amazing find and I will certainly be back. Thanks again to the lovely kind and caring staff.

The lush gardens.

The noisy staff sounded like they were having a party on the balcony above next to room 05 till 11am. Stopped abruptly when I went to complain to reception. Room service plates and drinks that were on the front outside table took 15 hours to be removed despite staff walking past every 5 minutes to the staff corner near 05. I think it was a gardener who finally triggered collection. Afternoon tea: paradoxically it would be better to either serve no food or charge for better food than to serve cheap poor standard free stuff.

The room design itself was beautiful. The resort seemed to be split into two, the old and and new. We were in the new part which was very well designed, the rooms were large and stylish and likable. Bed was super comfortable and room was kept very clean. We were at the back of the resort so did not hear the traffic.

The room had insufficient cooling and due to the bathroom being somewhat open air and the doors not sealed, this created quite uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Also the private pool had no heating and was just way too cold to enjoy the luxury. The location was simultanously excellent and not great. At the top of the hill to the main part of Ubud, meant some pretty sketchy climbs with traffic wizzing past.
