Hanoi Elpis Hotel

Good location Lovely staff Room clean

The drains outside were always overflowing and smelly

The standout was definitely the comfort of the bed—super cosy and exactly what you want after a long day exploring Hanoi. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around and see the main sights. The owner was friendly and genuinely helpful, which always makes a stay more enjoyable. A small but very appreciated detail: the shower has a proper screen, so the bathroom doesn’t end up flooded (if you know, you know).

On the downside, there’s no lift, which could be a challenge if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. Also, some rooms don’t have windows, so it’s worth making sure you book one that does if that matters to you. One thing that did leave a sour note was the check-in experience. We arrived early and were told our room was ready at noon, but we couldn’t check in until 2pm unless we paid an extra fee. Having worked in hotels for over 30 years, this was surprising and not something I’ve encountered before.

Lovely and helpful staff and hotel owner. The hotel owner keep updated us, assisted and keep in touch with us before and during the stay. So many shops and dobby nearby too.

Overall okay, the only thing is there is no lift to go upstairs 😅..But its no big problem..
