Mossburn Railway Hotel

A very basic cheap hotel in the middle of nowhere :) We booked it for two nights to do Milford Sound and it was fine. Our room was very basic and a bit small for two suitcases but had a private bathroom. The shower was great. The bedding was fresh and the bed comfortable. Heating works fine so the room quickly warms up. The area was quiet, there's a shop/ cafe and petrol station nearby. There's a room to use for everyone with a fridge, microwave, boiling water so you can store your own food or there's some bread and jam and tea/ coffee provided but we had our own. You can get an evening meal there too or do your laundry.

Beautiful outdoor area

Our dinner meal was amazing really tasty. We had the chicken schnitzel and the beef the mushroom and pepper sauce were really yummy

Maybe a chair in the twin room

Dinner the first night was good but disappointing the second night.

Uncomfortable bed and noise from other rooms.
