The bedrooms ok. Bathroom ok except towels more like rags. Living room carpet was filthy, couch was lop sided. If I used anything in the kitchen I needed to wash it. No pots or pans. The location was quiet. I still managed to enjoy myself.

Stayed at the house for a 13 week travel nursing contract. The house was great, location is even better. Close to downtown and a quick drive to the beach! Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the large backyard as well. Marti was so helpful and is a great host! Would definitely stay again.

Getting in and out of the tub/shower was a challenge. House was well supplied and tv worked great. Kitchen had very little counter space - but nice big refrigerator and gas stove. I enjoyed my stay because of the uniqueness and history of a 100+ year old bungalow.

We stayed here 10 weeks. It's an old eclectic small house with an excellent location to many amenities. The beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy and the kitchen well stocked. 2 big trees shade the front and backyards. The shaded front and the sunny back porches were wonderful for sitting outside. Marty is a delightful and accommodating landlord. Personally, I would like to see it deep cleaned. A great experience overall!

We absolutely loved staying in what we came to refer to as "the pretty house." My son loved the treehouse and our mornings relaxing on the front patio. The home is located centrally with the ability to walk downtown but to access shopping easily by car as well. The property owner was always available if we had questions or needed anything. Cannot recommend enough!

We stayed for the month of July and loved being able to walk to town for dinner and walk home afterwards. Everything is close by and the High Street Deli was great which is right down the street. Has everything you need for an easy vacation. The owners are great to work with and so lovely. We are thinking of moving to San Luis Obispo in the future, loved Avila Beach 13 minutes away from the house. I don't know who liked the beach more us or our dog. Had a great time.

This was our second time staying at this cozy bungalow. Everything we remembered it to be ... great location in SLO, warm and welcoming, well-appointed with everything we needed, dog-friendly, and Marti the owner very friendly and helpful! After enjoying all of the outdoor activities that SLO and surrounding areas have to offer, it was always nice to return to Price Street!

My husband, dog, and I stayed for 10 days in Oct. 2014 and this house fit us and our needs perfectly. Marti was great and provided a smooth and welcoming experience. The house had everything we needed from fast Wi-Fi to a well stocked kitchen and comfy rooms. I was able to work and play and relax. The front porch chairs provided us with cool evenings and wine, watching the neighbors go by. Plus the fenced yard gave our pup a safe place to romp. If you're visiting SLO and need a homey spot to stay this a great spot.

My husband and our little Maltese dog stayed for five days this past July and had a wonderful time. The house was very comfortable with a fabulous outdoor patio and barbeque area. We loved the neighborhood and location to downtown and local beaches. We were able to bike ride around SLO and hit the beach every day! We were in SLO to attend a wedding and regretted not booking through the weekend. We were far more comfortable in this house than at the 4 star hotel we stayed at for the wedding! The owner quickly responded to all our questions prior to booking and was very friendly upon our arrival. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is cute little old Victorian house with lots of character. It was close to downtown. We walked to Thursday night market and downtown for breakfast multiple times. Our dog loved it too. The neighborhood is nice a quiet. Beds were so comfortable. The owner is fantastic. She made sure that everything went well and gave us some great recommendations. We will definitely be coming back to this property again. if you have kids at Cal Poly, it is a great place to be. If you love SLO, you will love this location. ~ Jeanette

We loved, loved, loved staying in this home! The homeowner is wonderful and left a couple of small fun toys for our kids (ages 8 and 11) to play with, and she was very helpful before AND after our stay! Wonderful woman! The most important things for me with staying somewhere is cleanliness and safety. This place was perfectly clean in every way (even with pets occasionally staying here, which I'm allergic to and had no problems with!)! And the neighborhood and house it's self felt perfectly safe as well! The house was easy to find and was close enough to everything you'd need to go to, without being on a busy street. And the person that lives full time in the back part of the property was kind and kept to themselves so you never felt like you were in their way or them in yours. I would definitely stay here again if/when we visit SLO!

My husband and I just spent three weeks in this home. Everyone knows San Luis Obispo is awesome, but add this charming home and you will be sure to have a wonderful time on the Central Coast. Marti, the owner, made us feel welcome from the day we arrived until the day we left. She quickly replies to any needs, questions, etc., and is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The house, very cozy and comfortable, met all of our needs. The location was great, being walking distance to downtown, a nearby park, trailheads, etc., and a short driving distance to beaches, vineyards, and other attractions. Lola, our dog, joined us and she felt as welcome as we did. We hope to stay here again, and again, during future trips to SLO!

Our company sent 2 of our employees to stay here during a business trip. They found it very clean and comfortable. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is really great.

My husband and I stayed here for two months. This home is adorable and very clean. It is just far enough from downtown to avoid traffic but close enough to easily walk to coffee, farmers market and many great restaurants. Marti, the owner, was very helpful and kind.

This is an older home, with some floor squeakiness and a couple doors that don't close right, but not a big deal. There are two small bedrooms, one located off the living room, the other off the kitchen. They are connected by a shared bathroom. The bathroom can only be accessed via the bedrooms. The kitchen is a bit cramped and distinctly lacking in counter space. The appliances are newer and work well, but there is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking/eating gear. There is a back porch with a washer/dryer. This is shared with the renter of a small cottage located in the backyard. The living room has a small dining table, a comfortable couch and a 32 inch TV (Direct TV basic service). There is high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. There is driveway parking for one car. The house was clean, good water pressure and hot water. The owner, Marti, is very friendly and eager to help with any issues. We noted a problem with some windows not locking, and she had it fixed right away. The house is located about a 10 minute walk from downtown San Luis Obispo. There is a sandwich shop and small grocery within a few minutes walk. Overall I would recommend this property for a couple, or a family with 1 or 2 small children. Two couples might be cramped, unless you are only sleeping there. If you are into hiking, I would suggest Cerro San Luis (trailhead walking distance from house) or Bishop's Peak. For bicycling, a good ride is on Orcutt Rd to Lopez Lake - 35 miles round trip, mostly flat with plenty of pretty wine country (and winery tasting rooms along the way).

We traveled to SLO to tour Cal Poly and make our way up to the bay area for Thanksgiving. What a perfect fit for us. Three words come to mind: comfortable, convenient and thoughtful. Our 18 year old son had his own spacem yet the cottage is cozy and inviting. We rode bikes into town for groceries, delicious meals and generally exploring the environs. I am eagerly booking this sweet space again for a working trip in March. I love the flexibility of eating in and savoring a tasty meal in the sunny backyard, or a cup of tea on the front porch. This beats hotels, motels and resorts in almost every way.

We had a wonderful time visiting San Luis Obispo and this home away from home enhanced our stay. The home is well appointed and the owner has gone above and beyond to make a guests stay top notch! We visit the area often and will definitely return to this lodging treasure. Marti thought of everything from bicycles to navigation maps of local hiking trails to specialty soap. Another perk is that our sweet traveling companion ( our dog, Colt) was welcomed with open arms!

We stayed at Marti's SLO house for a long weekend in February and loved it. The place is adorable and well-appointed. We felt right at home! We didn't rent a car so it was in the perfect location for walkability to downtown SLO (10-minute walk) and other amenities like groceries (half-mile to Fresh and Easy) and hiking trails (less than a mile away). The front porch was a perfect lounge spot in the mornings/evenings over coffee/wine. The backyard was great too. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had just about everything we needed to prepare meals for ourselves. The High Street Deli (2 blocks away) had the best sandwiches in town! The only things the house lacked that might've made our stay a little easier (and I truly mean the only things) are a dishwasher and a full-length mirror. In the long run we didn't miss either one though because everything else was so ideal. Marti was a wonderful host. She checked in with us often to make sure we'd gotten in OK, and prior to our arrival she sent us a detailed list of activities to check out in town. Bus maps and a lovely gourmet snack awaited us when we got to the house, and making entry without Marti there was a breeze. She even sent us a follow up email with a list of things to do on a rainy day in SLO when the weather turned soggy. We definitely recommend Marti and her SLO house for anyone looking for a little getaway on the Central Coast. Thanks again for a terrific weekend, Marti! We'll look you up when we relocate there permanently to grab a glass of wine!
