We booked a room with Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel for my birthday. The room was spacious and spotless and decorated beautifully and the double bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpfully and the breakfast was the icing on the cake. We'll be coming back for a longer stay soon.

The view from our room was onto a courtyard but it didn't really matter.

Location - excellent Breakfast - excellent Room - a twin as requested but it was a bit small and tight and single bed width just about - no heating/cooling system

Limited foyer and limited seating in the lounge bar didn’t allow to mingle

Perfect location to explore Kilkenny on foot. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast set up was perfect, especially loved the coffee machine. Also liked that you could book breakfast as late as 10am, which is great when you are with people who aren't early risers. We stayed in a triple room, which was a good size. Room was clean and comfortable and shower had piping hot water. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Kilkenny city.

for a near €400 room the bathroom door didn’t close, the toilet seat was yellow it was so old. told receptionist but received no real response

fantastic location. great breakfast. clean rooms. my fiancé and I had just gotten engaged the day before, and the staff upgraded our room for free. very courteous.

shower did not drain properly. however, we called to the front desk and an extremely helpful staff member was up within 5 minutes to fix the issue. 10/10 service and response time.

We had a huge room, excellent bath, quiet, nicely furnished if somewhat dated. Windows are restricted in how far they open, which might be an issue when weather is warmer. Parking is in a garage literally across the street. Very near all needed shops, food, beverage, and the Castle.
