I absolutely love this house and the entire staff. The only challenge is that it’s always booked - for very good reasons! It is quiet, very comfortable and very clean. Carla (host) is super responsive and Victor and Maria are wonderful. The private pool is spectacular before and after diving. It’s super convenient to rinse and store dive gear which I really appreciate. It’s far enough off the beaten path to not feel touristy and close enough to get to everything. Can’t recommend it enough.

My adult son and I spent six days at Casa Carlita's and the stay surpassed my expectations. The home, the people, the beautiful ocean views, were just fantastic. Online reviews sometimes scare a person; I am happy to note that every scary thing I read about Cozumel was not true. We opted to skip maid service, but tipped anyway, realizing this is how people make their living. However, I did meet the lady that came on our last day and she was as sweet as can be! Victor, the VRBO representative, met us at the airport, waited for us to pick up our rental vehicle, and led us to the house; this in itself was FANTASTIC, it gave us time to acclimate to driving in Cozumel without worrying where we were going. Although we did not call Victor for assistance, we navigated and explored our way around with our mobile phone GPS; it was so CALMING and REASSURING to know that he was a telephone call away and would immediately assist us with anything if need be. This to me, was a HUGE asset, being in another country and having a personal contact was awesome. I am a single 65 yr old female and I came back excited to know that I can go to Cozumel by myself, rent a car, stay in Casa Carlita's and have the most wonderful time alone, travel around the island and be SAFE! There is not one thing that was lacking at the home, everything was PERFECT, I would not consider staying anywhere else on my next visit!

We loved our time at Casa Carlita! It was my husband, daughters (8 and 10), and myself. It was a beautiful and very clean house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. It was 2 blocks walk to a grocery store and my children loved the pool! The owner and the home manager were very easy to get a hold of and easy to communicate with. A great house that we will certainly go back to. For us, the location was amazing, We had a car as we are there to dive and wanted to get about easily when we wanted to. Wow! Casa Carlita is an incredible home with a wonderfully convenient location—in a very quiet and very safe neighborhood, yet only a short walk into the center of town: less than a mile (and even shorter walk—0.2 miles—to several restaurants and 2 supermarkets). The home itself is well appointed and had everything we could possibly need for cooking and relaxing (and so many pool and beach towels!)—and even bikes!
Taking a quick dip in the pool in the mornings and lingering there in the afternoons and evenings was a perfect and relaxing way to start and end the day.
Our bed was *really* comfortable, and having AC units throughout the house made the tropical August heat inconsequential—and we sometimes even turned them off because they were so effective.
Carla offered a comprehensive overview of the property, restaurants, activities, and general advice, which was so helpful!
The home is in a fantastic area where we (2 women) felt safe walking around at *all* hours.
Two blocks away was a Chendraui (like a Target or Walmart super center, but so.much.more!), so don’t worry if you left anything at home—you will find it there. Chendraui also has numerous ATMs where you can withdraw Mexican pesos or American dollars, and is a predictable spot to always find a taxi in case you need to go farther than you care to walk (like the beaches farther south).
The entire stay was made especially delightful by both Victor and Maria. Victor met us at the airport and escorted our flex car to the home. He oriented us to the house, amenities, vicinity, and things to do, and entertained all of our questions. He offered wonderful suggestions, including a Río Secréto excursion and a recommendation to visit Playa Palancar (arrive early for the best spots!) for a day at the beach. It was really indulgent and a great way to spend the day snorkeling, swimming, and generally relaxing.
Again, Victor is incredible. He is kind, warm, connecting, and immensely helpful! We can’t thank you enough, Victor!!

Maria took care of the entire casa while we were there. She was there every day to clean dishes, sheets, floors, everything. The house was refreshed every day. And it was great spending time chatting with Maria!! She is a gem of a human!!

The owners were awesome to work with from start to finish! Great communication throughout the trip. The house was equipped with everything you would need from towels, linens, plates, glasses, pots & pans ect. The house was extremely clean thanks to Mary the cleaning lady! The pool was great for relaxing when we weren't out and about on the island. Great location!!! A block away from the grocery store, two & 1/2 blocks from the Melgar. About a 15 minute walk into town. Never once did we feel unsafe in the neighborhood! Can't say enough about the house!! We'll definitely re-book when it's available 😊

Amazing!
We spent two amazing weeks here. Everything was perfect from start to finish, so much that we rebooked for next year! Carla was extremely quick to answer any questions we had. Victor was also the same. Maria took great care of us. The location is literally in the back door of Chedraui (grocery store), lots of restaurants very close by, very safe neighborhood. It was nice having our own private pool. Again, just amazing all the way around!!

The grocery store is only one short block away. There is a laundry service within walking distance, where a nice lady will wash, dry and fold your clothes so you can spend more time enjoying Cozumel. Thank you Carla, Victor and Maria for a wonderful vacation. My wife and I have already booked Casa Carlita for two more vacations in 2022.

This home is everything we could have asked for and more. It is in a great location that is central to great shops, restaurants and groceries. Everything was clean and well organized. We enjoyed everything about this home, especially the pool. We will be back!

I am very familiar with Cozumel. I have been to the island many times. Casa Carlita was a little gem located right behind Chedralis in the center of town. The property has all the amenities of home, and if you needed anything all you had to do was text Victor. I had a group staying at Hotel Cozumel around the corner, so it was the perfect distance for me. You can walk anywhere in town within 5 minutes. I suggest renting a car from the airport, and having it there for more enjoyable experience. All in all the house was well kept and stocked. It has a tiny pool that you can start and end your day with. There’s a charcoal grill for cookouts, and lots of movies if you want to stay in. Very good experience - I’ll be back!
