Mikaso Hotel

How can you beat this place for the price? The hotel offers an excellent location just outside of town—far enough away from the tourist crowds, yet right on the water. If you feel like staying in, there’s rooftop dining with a great atmosphere. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They went above and beyond to help me plan activities and make the most of my stay. For the location, service, and price, this place is an incredible value. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck without being right in the middle of the tourist area, I highly recommend it!

Finding the place for the first time can be a little challenging. I’d recommend taking a tuk-tuk there initially. Once you know where it is, you should have no problem getting around.

The Hotel has beautiful views to the lake and spacious areas to hangout outside. The rooms are clean and spacious and so were the bathrooms and the common spaces. The location was perfect. Being in the most “party” city in the lake it is in a very chill and quiet area with lots of good places to eat and we felt pretty safe walking there at night. It’s still 10 min by foot to the center and the boats.

There was a power outage the last day, which wasn’t the property fault but it was a bit annoying as we couldn’t shower.
