the building and aesthetic was nice but the place has a old wet smell to it when you get into the hallways where all the rooms are located. When you arrive in your room the smell is even stronger. The hotel front desk called our room at 9pm to tell us that house keeping found stains on the sheet. they could’ve called us at proper hours. I have red hair so I did realize my hair soiled the pillow case. So I started covering my pillow each night with one of my shirts to avoid the issue again. Go to check out front desk as charging me for two sheets $80. which is crazy that’s why there laundry you was it and it comes right out. I didn’t want to start a issue so I paid the fee, but I’ll never stay there again. I’ve stayed at plenty hotels and never had this kind of issue.

Great value for money, great location, friendly staff. The hotel surely exceeded my expectations for this money.

The staff were very nice

The pool was a bit less than expected. The omelet took a bit long and the waiter was not sure if it carried an extra cost. In the end it was free. We rented a car and the underground parking area; looks untidy.

The housekeeping staff was excellent. Room was cleaned perfectly every day

Every other staff member was rude difficult and reluctant to help at all. The pool was run down And the workout room was basically not functional. But most disappointment was the lack of willingness of anybody who worked at the hotel to be of any assistance for any little questions we had

Breakfast was fantastic and worth having included at the time of booking. The staff was always helpful and willing to accommodate our requests. Will definitely be staying again on future trips

The real asset of the hotel is their staff. They were the friendliest and most welcoming people in a hotel I have stayed at in Panama so far. I have also enjoyed the comfortable bed. Nice and inviting is the small, but friendly kept entrance (lobby) area of the hotel. With these 3 aspects the positive feedback is exhausted...

Being a very frequent traveler comparing hotels around the world my general assumption would be that in reality the Global hotel lacks behind its very good presentation and marketing (nice pictures, appealing boutique style facilities, etc.). Given the considerable flaws, it is definitely not a 5 star hotels. The most shameful part of the hotel offer is the pool. It is extremely neglected, unmaintained and would definitely need a major uplift. For now, it should not even be mentioned as existent in the hotel presentation, as guests would simply not look for it (it is not that easy to find anyway). Far from a 5 star standard is also the fitness area. It is very small, not well equipped ... just to tick off, there is a fitness room in the hotel. What however rounds up the negative impression is the bad room cleaning. Each day I have had to ask for the room to be cleaned and then, it was done in a very hasty way... Since the hotel does not provide slippers for the room (which again a 5 star address should do automatically), you can feel how badly vacuumed the room was (or maybe not at all). All in all, a hotel with a good potential (due to its human capital), but rather disappointing overall, as it does not lift to high expectations, given its presentation.
