The staff were so welcoming and helpful .. Abigail, Elizabeth and Nora just super
Food was delicious
Accommodation was really comfortable with spectacular views
The road up to it requires a 4x4 and is not for the faint hearted!!
WiFi isn’t he best but you are in nature so it’s understandable and I still would return!!

The view was really beautiful
The room was so ugly. It was really depressing. It’s a cut rate Hotel in a great location.

the view from the room was awesome, dinner and breakfast were perfect and served at our balcony with great care. The staff were very friendly, good service offered.
The room was very hot inside, no fan or airco, that could be improved. The location is quite off the road.

freshly cooked food was really good and nothing was a problem for mr Khan and his team.
we watched sunset in the bush 5 min away and sunrise from our terrace.

the road leading to the property is a bit bumpy but nothing to worry about it you have 4x4.

Wow what a place !
As the name indicates it has magnificent sunrises and also sunsets... Inbetween you will probably be on Safari drives 🙂.
Dinner was good and tasty, the staff cheerful and helpful.
The rooms and facilities are confortable. And the place, high above, with great views over lake Manyara just beatiful.
A great alternative to Karatu on the way to Ngongoro or Serengati.
Strongly reccomend !!!
Cant find any.

Remote, tranquil, minimalist scenic location overlooking the valley. It’s eco-friendly in that they use solar and minimize resource consumption. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food delicious and plentiful. The road up there is rough (use a rugged car or hire a ride), but the view and being out of the hustle and bustle of town is worth it.
The owner, Khan, is very welcoming and cordial. We enjoyed chatting with him. He was honest and a pleasure to do business with.
I also liked that they had resident cats who were well-loved and cared for.

Beautiful location and view.
Food and drinks absolutely overpriced.
One day we got warmed tinned ravioli so we never had food there again.
No milk for tea or coffee at breakfast.
Local bear and water for crazy high prices.
All in all too expensive for what you get

The View is breathtaking combining the mountains and the lake view. You can also observe the difference between the Maasai land and plantation.
The food was delicious, special mention for the dinner.
Staff is very smiling, helpful and available.
They offer activities of quality which you will hardly find elsewhere.

Stunning view from the rooms. Friendly staff and good food.
Rates for the rooms are high compared with rooms standards (very basic and sometimes in poor condition like the mosquito nets).

We stayed for one night. We had a very friendly welcome by the Staff & had a lovely view from the Terrace of our room. You could watch many different types of birds & sip on a cool beer. The food was delicious & plenty and the gardens very well maintained & planted with lots of love for detail. Good value for money. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
The room was quite basic & the bathroom was very basic. Unfortunately no warm water for showering (but not sure this is the case all the time). The road to get to the hotel was very very bad (even by Tanzanian standards) - 4x4 highly advised.

Great View over the rift valley with extraordinary sunrise, totally worth to get up. Staff is very friendly, especially Lucy and the security night guard. Food is good

The family really caring, the astonishing view, the quality of the food, the room
Just a bit hard to climb up to the place but not too hard to find, if you come with a 4WD, following Google maps you arrive to another lodge but turn right and you will find the good one

The view!
There were no other guests… the food was ok.

The staff were friendly and the view from the property was fantastic. The lunch boxes provided were convenient and the evening meals were good.
The room was clean but basic. Hot water was not always available, but the staff did try to make it available when requested. The choice at breakfast was limited. The diatance to the property off the main road was too far and the signposting could have been better. The internet was hit and miss.

Breathtaking view, basic but all you need, super nice people, good food! I recommend!

Everyone was so hospitable. Our son had his 5th birthday and they made it so special! A birthday cake and all staff dancing as they sang for him. It’s a memory that will last forever.
We also had Mr Mallow who made a Massai fire stick for us .
Overall it was excellent. The road is a little bumpy as you enter but the lodge was so comfortable, we forgot about the road as we entered .
Mr Khan and his team are such excellent hosts. Thankyou for the memorable stay 🙏

Nice rooms and location.
The management tries to charge more than the price in booking. Dinner comes with a bottle of water (not requested) which cost usd 2!? Very confusing and I left because of this.

The lodge is beautifully located with amazing views over the mountains and the city. It is so quiet and most of the noise you hear are the beautiful birds singing! The personnel is really nice and friendly. The safaris are amazing and perfectly organized. I recommend this lodge.

the vista from the lodge was superb of the crater and the savanna that stretched to the far horizon. The lodge was very good, the veranda a great spot to watch the wildlife esp all the pretty birds in the well presented garden. A troupe of baboons came by most days which was great for a biologist. The breakies and dinner were all very good and varied. A special mention to the very nice, friendly Massi guide, MILO made my 10 day stay there very memorable. The star of the place, thanks Milo
The manager was out of his depth, a bit too young and inexperinced. Despite very few people staying, due to the pandemic, he really wasnt up to the task, espcially so when he gave my passport details, without my permission, naughty derrick!! Also taking the wifi modem away when it ran low on credit was a bad error of judgment.

Nice view
Far away from the main road. The shower was not working, no curtains on the main window, no wifi, did not get the breakfast on time before leaving for safari

Great location with comfortable rooms for relaxing with easy access for visiting Manyara and Ngorongoro. Very kind staff. Good food. Excellent value. It was mostly very quiet but there are two rooms per building so peace and quiet depends on your neighbors.
