Beautiful view of the ocean and really nice breeze in the common areas!
Listen they are not joking about that steep road that leads to the hotel. A lot of the stuff on the menu weren’t available. Roaches in the room. Window in the room didn’t close right so house lizards got in. Wardrobe drawer broken. Ac is only on from 8pm to 5am. Owner came & greeted everyone at breakfast one day except for our table & this white guy sitting at the bar…

You can’t beat the view and the pool was nice.
I paid for a room with air conditioning, and it stopped working in the middle of the night.

I enjoyed staying at Habitation des Lauriers. The staff was very courteous, professional, and accommodating. I wanted to change rooms, no problem at all, the young woman at the reception quickly granted my request and H helped us move. Also, great value for your buck!
Breakfast was very good as well, although I would have liked more varieties.

Habitation Des Lauriers is a moderate hotel which provides a safe and clean environment. I booked a room with a huge patio overlooking the ocean which I think is the highlight of this hotel. It was nice to sit outside to enjoy night view and breeze with a bottle of beer. The hotel provided 3 different sets of breakfast with juice and coffee. It has a swimming pool but I didn’t use it. They don’t have a kettle in the room but the staff was very helpful to make hot water for me one day. The other day I wanted to have some coffee in the afternoon as I normally do at home and the lady still made it for me but without charge because they don’t sell coffee in menu but only for breakfast. I really appreciated the kindness. The hotel is a bit expensive for me but I don’t know if it’s a fair judgement. It seems it’s not cheap to live in Haiti. Looking at the city and the living conditions, I think they have done the best to maintain it a nice and clean hotel with all the required services. I feel very safe to stay in and the staff are general very nice to help.

I liked its location, overlooking the city of Cap Haïtien. The staff was also very kind, helpful with my requests, and hospitable.
When I got in touch with them through WhatsApp before going to check on certain questions I had (security, airport pickup, etc.), they were very unhelpful and downright rude, I still booked with them because their prices seem fair and because my guide, who I contacted beforehand, told me to, however as a first impression, it was pretty bad.

the view was nice, the staffs were professional. But the room was not so comfortable, not what I was expecting.
breakfast was not to my liking. I was charged an extra $20 US I have my personal car to the airport but it was still deducted from my credit card.

The only part of my stay I enjoyed is that the room was cleaned daily. The food was decent, when they had what was on the menu.
It was not clear on the description of the properly that access to the property is very limited. Our taxi refused to go up the steep hill and instead had us ride single motorcycles with drivers.
There is no door to the bathroom; in other words using the toilet meant that you are exposed to the bedroom area.
The location is under construction and there is constant noise up until may 10PM. Then, past that time, there are guests playing music around the pool area all hours of the night.
There was also the issue of AC. I know that in Haiti the electricity is not 24/7, but charging extra for a room with AC defeats the purpose if the AC is only one maybe 2 hours in a 24 hour period.
Last but not least, the waiting period for the food to be ready was absurd. I had to learn that if I order food at a certain hour, I have to make sure to ask if all the ingredients for the food is already here or will they need time to get them from the market.

The Staff is correctly trained for the job,to welcome customer. The room was very cleaned and fresh. The food is just delicius. the pool was warm and cleaned. the area of the quiet and very safe, nothing to complain.

The staff there are very nice! They have excellent customer service. Essentially the driver. The food was delicious!

The walk up the hill to reach the hotel!! But once arrived at, the views were worth the effort.

I had originally booked the hotel for one day ..but I extended my stay for 3 extra days, the staff was execclent,when I arrived at the airport my transportation was waiting..the receptionist and the server was very kind. The owner was very helpful with my special request . ... great safe place to visit...

the rooms are super clear, and the housekeeper always get the room done on time, she’s very nice respectful and friendly.
I hate the fact there’s NO server to bring you the food to your room, every times your order something you have to come back to pick it up yourself. and the food takes forever to be ready. the cashier at the Bar be very rude and disrespectful. and they have 2 or 3 dogs on the property which is not safe because not everybody are dogs friendly.
