Saak Luúm Ruta Puuc

We loved our stay at Saak Luúm Ruta Puuc! So much actually that we stayed 6 instead of the planned 3 nights here. Everything was perfect: although we arrived late, Anais welcomed us and the check-in was quick and easy. The studio was beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. It offers ample space to store things, an air-conditioning, wifi, and beautiful views on the pool. The surroundings were quiet, and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The hotel is situated at the South end of town, where it is really quiet. But with a car you can easily reach the Kiwiik Café in town, which is run by the hotel´s owners, or more dining options in the town of Ticul, 10km further South. Breakfast is also offered directly at the hotel. However, to have a car is generally recommended to get around, and the hotel offers free private parking. We also liked Sacalum as our basecamp as the area is not so touristy, but you still have many interesting places to explore closeby (many amazing Cenotes, ruined cities, the mummy museum of Santa Maria Elena...). In total, the Saak Luúm Ruta Puuc was one of our favorite hotels during our whole journey, and we are currently traveling for a year.

The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful.

We were not aware that we needed to bring coffee, water, and towels for the pool. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Pool towels rent for 100 pesos for 2.

Excellent place for 2 or 3 nights. Looks like the pictures 😄

Breakfast was not on the morning we left. No warning the day before :-(
