Tolles und abwechslungsreiches Essen (auch im Buffetrestaurant), wirklich sehr aufmerksames und nettes Personal, sehr natürlich erhaltene Insel (was es wirklich wunderschön macht), tolles Hausriff (wir haben jeden Tag beim Schnorcheln Haie, Schildkröten, Rochen und bunteste Fische gesehen); sehr geräumige und komfortable Zimmer/Villen; obwohl das Resort voll gebucht war, merkt man es nicht - die Menschen verteilen sich gut über die ganze Insel. Auch der Transfer hat super geklappt. Wir hatten währenddessen auch unseren Jahrestag und bekamen ein paar Aufmerksamkeiten mit einem extra schön gedeckten Tisch, einer Flasche Wein aufs Haus und Glückwünsche von den Mitarbeitern.

A genuinely beautiful place. Great snorkeling right in front of our room, plenty of food options and the grounds are amazing.

We booked without realising the speedboat transport to the island was extra and additional to the cost of the accom. We couldn't believe how expensive it was per person, and the actual price was not noted in the listing. Cannot understand how transport to the island isn't included in the cost. That's ridiculous. How else would you get there?

The whole hotel was lovely- the resort is well presented and run. The buffet food has great variety each mealtime and there is a decent choice of wine (if you ask!) The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The meal at the speciality restaurant was pretty poor overall - the buffet was definitely better. Sometimes the room cleaning could have been a bit better. In all our travels to hotels over the world we have not seen the morning yoga sessions being charged for (esp $30!) We were given a dedicated member of staff and a WhatsApp number. - total waste of time - only sent him one message and he came back 3 days later to say sorry for the late reply (and that was it!) Also despite what it says on the booking.com site- you do have to pay the $10 per day environmental tax when you arrive. These are minor points that didn't spoil our holiday and we still gave the hotel 9/10!

The room was sizeable, clean and there was an outside shower in the bathroom. 2 chairs outside the villa, but no cushions so we didn't use. There are loungers on the beach, but these get taken early. You can snorkel off the shallow beach which was good. One of my closer encounters with a shark (harmless and not Jaws, only the mosquitos liked the taste of me). For a quiet break from everyone, go to the surf beach restaurant. Quiet and hardly anyone there. Great staff, have a beer and a pizza. I haven't surfed for years, so didn't want to have my wife putting my attempts on YouTube for comedy. Good surf made it tempting to entertain the world.

Check in was extremely slow and frustrating. The terrible airport and the entire experience for getting the speedboat was slow, disorganised and late. After a very bumpy journey by speedboat, we had to wait around for check-in which was very slow. I've stayed in thousands of places and this was right up there as a failure. It often is the first interaction with a hotel and after hours of travelling, the last thing you want is slow check in, a endless pointless presentation which would be better off as a welcome pack and having to queue at a cashier office (very last century) to pay for an expensive speedboat and then do it all over again when you leave. I wasn't ever sure why they even had a reception desk as everything was just directing you to someone else. Booking anything required finding someone else including the a la carte restaurant. We couldn't get a table in the restaurant during our stay on any day including my wife's birthday, so we did the BBQ instead. It was OK, but the food was similar to the buffet restaurant. There was live music which was good. However it was expensive for what it was. All prices in the resort are priced in US$ and any extras such as trips are expensive. Toursist tax at US$12 per person per night is not included in the cost of accommodation, but that is true of all resorts in Maldives. All extras such as trips do not include 10% service charge + 12.5% GST.
