the property was very clean
the staff acted like tips were mandated, when it was already paid via gratuities. Even though I tip regardless, the demeanor of the staff was that as if tips were still expected.

Your staff is top notch 5 out of 5 stars. The staff made us feel welcome and inviting could not say enough starting from the staff at the front gates, to the reception, to the bar, and to David the housekeeper. Your whole staff was neatly dressed at the breakfast bar, to the waiters and even the pool staff.
You only had two kinds of beer to serve. Really? With the money spent you think I didn't have to buy my own and bring it to the property. Next time I will have to ask before booking what type of beers the hotel serve. Only light and dark beer is rated poorly. Thumbs down

Breakfast was outstanding. Service was exceptional. Location was excellent
Pizza could have been better . Also, on the shopping excursion, I believe the driver was sick, which I then got sick for the last three days

This resort was amazing! Everything was so clean, the food was amazing, and the staff was great! I loved how you didn't need to make reservations for any meals, and that everything was open later for the night owls like us! It was also much more intimate than other large resorts and I think that's why everything was so great! I can't wait to go back!
I loved everything!

We loved the pool area, the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were great, spacious and clean! The staff was so friendly and nice. They kept us happy and never needing anything more. Absolutely loved Gabby and Felix at the pool and the activities team was one of the best I've ever seen!
Jose-Front Desk manager. We came with another couple. There was some confusion with laundry service with them on our last day, the front desk employee in the morning helped them out and offered express service at no extra charge. Which he must of been misinformed. We went with them to the front desk to check out and a 90 dollar charge for a small bag of laundry express. Rather than make the guest happy and our stay ending on a high note. Jose proceeded to argue with us about it. He was demeaning and rude. He even wouldn't speak to our friend about it only her spouse. Which she felt was sexist. He basically also called her a liar. I work in hospitality. And if we miscommunicate it's on us to make it right, then correctly fix the issue in house. We NEVER call the guest a liar. This was our only issue with our stay and put a different view in our heads of Dreams Sapphire. Which sadly we loved and applauded all week during our stay. But our last interaction was of an employee arguing with us over the extra $30 express charge. You would think after taking over 5k of our money 30 dollars wouldn't be the hill to die on.

Hotel infrastructure with pools is very nice big plus for slides for kids.
Old hotel, rooms are not renovated after Hyatt took over. Food was awful for this type of hotel. We have ended up going out to Puerto Morelos city center for dinner. Very cheap drinks, low quality food - for 700 USD per night I would expect something much better.

Staff was amazingly friendly and motivating to partake in the activities. Moises was so wonderful at breakfast in the morning and Lucy and Iris were so kind in the Coco Cafe and Johann at the pool and Fabian the DJ in the Sports Bar. Just overall the staff was always smiling and kind. They took the time to know our names and remember! The food was 8+/10, but it was nice to line up and get in and we only needed reservations at one place and were able to get them. Rooms were clean, towels were available from 8-4pm. Crepes or omelettes made to order in the morning with fresh cut fruit! We had tried another resort and came back here again. It is smaller, but has everything you want. The beach is also great (minus the season of seaweed) with kayaks, hobie cats, volleyball.
Maybe some more "quiet" pool hours. Because it is a smaller resort, and the pool is BIG, lots of activities happen there. But that means louder music at times (there is an adult pool that is quieter, but we can't just leave the 11 yo over at the big pool) and it was also Spring Break. The other thing would be our rooms mattress was super soft...cozy, but too soft for us and we just didn't sleep as well as we wanted.

The entire hotel is beautiful, I loved its blue pools
I did not like the way of treating the guest of 3 employees, one from the spa and 2 from the Bufette

The staff they had was exceptional. Very polite, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Special shout out to Omar and Vicente (not sure of the spelling.) Great planned activities. Food was good, enough variety, good selection from room service.
Under staffed, restaurants closed on certain days. The floor in our room needed better cleaning. Better consistency; towels, 1 day we had 6, then 4, then 3. Some days we got turn down service, some days not. Some days they filled the mini bar, others they didn't.

the kids section and club is great.
facilities are a little bit old and the rooms are not very equipped.

Main bar area and location of resort was great. However overall handling was very poor.
Overall cleanliness of property was poor. All pool areas were dirty. Restaurant were dirty. Food was not so great. Services were poor. We had to keep asking for things again and again in rooms every day.

Excellent service from the staff, the Mexican restaurant was great, and it was very clean.
The food was pretty average, evening activities were not like the other Dreams hotels we’ve stayed at previously and so a little disappointing. Fewer day time activities (they didn’t inform Preferred Club guests at adult only pool of activities and never visited that area). The big music event which was starting on 1st Dec really took over the hotel for a few days before and really changed the vibe. We were not informed when booking and would not have stayed there if we had known.

overall ok value for money given it costs half of the other all inclusive Dreams resorts.
The food in the restaurants was decent, especially the Grille restaurant.
Very old facilities probably from the 70’s, especially the bathrooms in the common areas are shamefully old and something you’d expect in a 2 star hotel. we had to ask them to clean them because they were dirty (with vomit) and no one even noticed.
The service is very basic and not even far away the service you’d expect in a 5 star hotel, for example they forgot to refill the soap and bring new towels when doing the room service, and there’s no conditioner.
The buffet is low quality and pretty basic, the rest of the restaurants are ok but the service is very slow because there’s not enough staff.
The beach is full of seaweed and is not accessible, which wouldn’t be their fault if not that I called explicitly to ask for that and they told me that the beach was clean. When the beach is so bad they should really make an effort to compensate in other ways and provide other extra services, but there’s none.
Overall very disappointing experience from a hotel of the Dreams chain and definitely not the experience you’d expect in a 5 star hotel but more in a 3 star.
