Queenstown Village Apartments

Had a little difficulty in locating the correct unit but had wonderful phone assistance and then this angel turned up to show and sort out everything

Nothing really tho maybe would have liked a blanket to put over my legs in bed

I was a little apprehensive having read some negative reviews after booking but what we found was a nice and comfortable place. We had a well-appointed ground level apartment. Being on the end of the row it had great daylight and its own large private courtyard which was a sun trap in the afternoon (one good aspect of being on this side of the lake). It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite, one with washing machine and dryer) which was perfect for me and my two teenage children. The apartment was generally spacious (though the second bedroom was quite tight with two king singles) and well appointed. The kitchen had microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge freezer and tea/coffee/milk. It was perfectly clean and had comfy beds and linen.

Nothing major: Parking - it has free underground parking located in the Double Tree Hotel a short walk down the street which didn't bother us at all. We were able to park in front of the apartment to unload / pickup. The location is a little isolated, being basically part of the Hilton / Double Tree enclave. There is a bar and restaurant adjacent to the Hilton, otherwise it’s a drive back to Frankton or Queenstown for more dining options. For us the location was perfect for heading up to the Remarkables to ski each day, saving at least 25mins driving each way versus staying in Queenstown, we actually didn’t even go into Queenstown this time around.

Nice view, very quiet,friendly and polite staff.

Located in a wee little village. Access to bar and cafe. Communication from host. Clean and tidy with lot of space indoor and outdoor. Private and cosy.

The kitchen lighting was far too dim to properly use half the bench, and the shower was broken. The frypan was scratched and peeling, while the cooking utensils and pots were very basic. Heating was limited to a wall panel, and the hot water temperature was low with the supply running out quickly. Several basic maintenance and facility issues need attention
