Beautiful camp, lovely staff, excellent guides and amazing sightings!

The breakfast was nice and well served.
It would be good to have signs at the entrance towards reception.

Only thing that really is worth the visit is the location and plentifull game. The guides were good and went the extra mile to find game.
The tents were run down, there was no real place to sit and relax. The patio chairs were broken and there were only two where we could sit down. Basically, we were left to the care of the cook and the caretaker, who did their best, but under pretty dismal circumstances. The wooden boardwalks were pretty dangerous. I wouldn't take children there.

Incredibile place for an adventurous stay in Manyeleti. The tents are spacious and clean, with hot water and every comfort. Lovely hospitality. We really enjoyed the game drives and the dinners all together in the camp.

Where do I start ? I read the reviews and felt it was worth trying this lodge as they kindly gave me a discount for being single (normally I have to pay more !). I knew it would be basic (no pool and little Wi-fi) but my main focus was the animals and having a comfy bed and hot shower.
I was actually all alone for 1.5 day and was spoilt having the huge 9 seat land rover all to myself (when I'd often pass vehicles that were packed). The trackers they employ were 1st class, they found me lions on every single game drive + 5 leopards and even a cheetah. I was absolutely thrilled with all my sightings. We also saw the Big 5 twice in a single game drive (and I'm not sure I had ever even been that lucky elsewhere). I know many people want to see the Big 5 but personally, I don't really care for rhinos (who had to be de-horned not to be poached) or buffaloes (who are too dangerous). I was more excited with the super cute baby nyala and its mum that I would find outside my tent most days. We would hear the lions roar every night, and leopards call too (a jeep saw the two mating very near where the camp was). The cook, Perseverance, was a darling and cooked the most amazing food (I'm a vegetarian, no problem). She made fabulous granola yoghurts every morning and a proper English breakfast for others who may want more. We had a 3 course dinner too and were all positively full ! I actually put on 3lbs in a week - say no more !!! O.M.G.
Ronny and Andres, the two guides I had week were awesome and I was fascinated by how easily they can read the bush. As a result, they were able to find me everything I really wanted to see. For this, I am eternally grateful. I never once felt lonely, even when I had no Wi-Fi, no book and no one to talk to but the 3 members of staff. They made me feel like family and even the baby nyala felt part of the extended family very quickly. I cried buckets when I left !
Considering that it was 36C by 10am most days (I didn't see a single drop of rain), it would have been nice to have a plunge pool. But I could live without it. And there were plenty of cold soft drinks & bottles of water in the fridge (free of charge). It was strange having no lock on the doors (with keys, I mean) but you soon realised you could trust people (staff and fellow visitors) as everybody was so incredibly nice. I slept like a log in the comfy bed (except when the adrenaline kicked in after amazing sightings !) and the showers were always hot with a proper shower flow (not a dribble).
You have to arrange your own transfer from the airport (I used Hoedspruit) which was a bit time consuming as you need to fish for quotes (Lynn will provide tel numbers though) but that's about it. Everybody else came with their own car anyway.

The best without a doubt the dedication of our guide, and the wonderful location.
Although the tent did its job and the bed was super comfortable, it needs a little overhaul.

had to go to Buffelshoek Camp because of Cyclone Freddy, very nice Lodge, very good food (but to much 😁), abolutely amazing game drives, could see Big Five in 4 Gamedrives, even a Leopard couple as well as Zebras, Hippos and Gnus
were able to see Elephants, Giraffe and a Hyena directly at the camp
was kind of familiar there, would definitely come again👌🏿👌🏿
a big thank you to Lynn, Dudley and the whole team!
simply nothing

Ndzhaka Tented Camp is a very special, unique and wonderful place in the middle of a stunning wildlife reserve. The staff is exceptionally caring, the food is great and the Game drives are nothing but amazing. I will come back and recommend this camp to everyone who wants to experience the African wildlife as real and authentic as possible.
would be great, if electricity could be provided in the huts through solar.

The game drives with Andres were incredible. He went above and beyond to make usre we see as many animals as possible driving large distance across the park. This also meant that he needed to drive fast the "Ferarri" jeep, which we enjoyed.
Also, the game drives were longer, sometimes even up to 5h as we were tracking animals.
This was of course not great for our chef Peggy, however did this not deterred her from serving such tasty food. We got to learn a bit about the food culture of SA while we eat here.
Thank you so much for an amazing adventure Andres and Peggy.

very nice tented camp in the middle of the reserve.
the hosts are super nice, make sure you follow theirs instructions as we followed Google and got a bit lost.
we arrived a bit late for that reason and the game already started but they came to pick us up again.
food is great
I definitely recommend it also as the game is one of the best way to see all the big 5.
there’s no plug in the tent

If you go for a pure safari experience and luxury is not important, than this is the best.
What an experience. Mike the safari driver really pushes to get the most out of it.
Besides the common animals we saw three male lions, a 12 lion big pride on the move, a white lion, hyena's, a group or wild dog, bush baby, uyl, etc. and lastly a Cheeta running away from us and also a Leopard running away from us.
Amazing experience!
Food was oke.
Upon arrival we did not feel really welcome.
Nobody checked officially us in. Mike, the safari driver, pointed at our tent and that was it.
At 14:00 we had lunch, but where a bit hesitant how everything worked. A brief introduction would have been good.
The tents are good, but basic. But they are located in a very nice tree covered area with the whole day different kinds of Antilopes, Monkeys, births and sometimes other animals.

Everything was wonderful. The quality of the food was excellent.
The rooms were great with very comfortable beds.
We ordered some alcohol and it was in the fridge by the time we returned from safari; what exceptional service!!
The four safaris were out of this world. Mike (our guide) is the jewel in the crown.
Amazing tracking skills and fantastic off road driving. We had a truly epic time. The most heart warming was the whole pride of lions walking past our landrover within stroking distance; unbelievable!!
There was nothing.

Great experience and awesome game drives with Mike! Best value for money lodge close to Kruger.

Perfect information per mail how to get there. Very reactive on mail requests.
The chef was very creative regarding my intolerance and created very tasty alternative meals.
Mike is very good in spotting all the animals.
Keep in mind, that its still a tented camp. It got its rustic charme, basic but sufficent equipped and "walls" are made of fabric, and temperatures at night can be cold.

best safari experience that we could imagine. the camp is right in the middle of the action! already on our way we had close encounters with animals. Mike is a really great and knowledgeable guide, we had amazing time during the drives and we saw so many animals including the big 5! highly recommended!!!

Ndzhaka is such a special place to stay for a safari, we had an amazing time! Our guide Mike was incredible at spotting wildlife and we were really impressed.
The tented camp itself is just really authentic and a great experience - staying right where the wildlife happens with just a handful of people. The accommodation is basic but with very comfortable beds and had everything we needed, including great food. We would definitely stay there again!

We were very warmly welcomed upon arrival. The dining area has a family atmosphere, where everyone in this small camp sits around the same big table. The food was excellent.
The cabins are simple but provide everything you need.
Mike, our driver/guide made sure to show us every animal possible in the area, and was especially pleased if you asked for a specific animal (like a pride you knew by name) and made sure you got to see it/them.
The camp would need a little bit of updating, like replacing a broken banister or slap. Since it was an unfenced camp and leopards, lions and hyaenas can be heard during the night, we would have liked someone to be around when getting up early in the dark and going back to our cabin after dinner, especially since we had our kids with us.

Staying in this tented camp was a marvelous experience. Sleeping in a tend inside the Savannah with wild animals passing close to the camp ... wow. The tend is somehow basic, with a bathrooom with shower and without plugs to charge phones (remember this if you want to use it for photos). Breakfast, lunch and dinner were simply delicious. Mike (that's the name of the host) took us to two game drive and they were exceptional. We saw many wild animals. A leopard and three elephants were actually in the very vicinity of the camp. We really suggest this camp to everybody that want to experience being very close to nature and to wild animals.

The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The food was delicious and Mike the safari guide was very professional.
We saw 4 of the big 5. The tent was well equipped and comfortable.

Meals were very good. Ranger Mike did a great job. Wildlife cold be observed directly at the tent.
Power supply limited, no plug in tent, recharging only possible during the day in the public area.

The staff members were friendly and helpfull. Mike our ranger has excellent skills and knowledge of the bush and animals. We had some continuous rain the 2 nd day which caused us not to be able to enjoy safari! The food was good! Thanks Perceverance!
To be in the vehicle surrounded by 15 lions planning a ambush? Great!
Need some paved ways to lefthand tents.

Firstly the staff could not have been better, they were great.
Location first class.
I have only ever left two negative reviews in 20 years of travelling this is the third.I can't help thinking the photo's / descriptions mislead me in to booking this location. I should point out that I have stayed in tented accommodation before and loved them but I can't help thinking that this location is for back packers on a very small budget, bathroom dirty / in need of a re fit. The mosquito net did not for the bed and when we drove in there were monkeys eating rubbish which had been left laying about (lots of it). For the cost there is far better places to stay and I think this after the monkeys made me cross if if was cheap, you get what you pay for but this place was not.

Saw the big 5 on our first game drive. Mike, the ranger that took care of us knew everything about everything that moved and breathed in the park. Fantastic chef fed us 3 tasty meals a day.

Food was very basic. Unimpressive. The staff did their best.
Better information on the property is required. . Electricity is solar powered. At night after meals you don’t have the option of the “lounge” as there is no light. The shower was scary. No plug points in tents. It should be advertised as such . The meals were terrible. The vehicle for viewing has no roof. 2 flimsy raincoats were provided for the party of 4.
