West Shine Hotel

Check in staff were super kind and considerate, excellent people, always greeting and making sure our stay was comfortable. They were very informative about the facilities as well of timings, and what was available around the neighborhood. I also liked that you could exchange your USD to the receptionist which was very convenient, which btw they buy your USD at 1.6 AZN, so they take around 6.25% commission. It has an excellent gym relative to the regular hotel gyms you see around, up to 30kg dumbbells, good chest machines, pull, no smith machine and no leg machine but good enough

The major problem with this hotel was the cigarette smell in our room. Me and my spouse do not smoke and find it repulsive, and consequently got the non smoking room. But then I discovered the smell was coming from the Air Conditioning vents, which I turned off and open the windows and solved the problem. Fortunately the weather was cool enough. Another dislike was the breakfast, they did not offer too many options and was more turkey ish styled. The staff at the breakfast were not kind. One morning we saw that all the plates were so wet (first time I see that in a hotel of all the maybe 100 hotels I've stayed in my life) which we complained about and asked them to be wiped dry, but were lame and clearly just wiped them off with a dish towel that was also wet. And lastly the bed pillows were hard and the mattress as well

Breakfast

The breakfast was good and quite interesting . i think it's represents the typical Azerbaijani breakfast . and everyone can feel satisfied since its diverse

Excellent location and outclass service. Maral was a fantastic host.
