Stonehouse Court Hotel - A Bespoke Hotel

Beautiful historic building. The rooms are in newer side buildings. Wonderful surroundings, scenery, and architecture.

I bit out of the way from the main town center. The room had noise coming from footsteps above.

The hotel is nice from 70s has beautiful cannel at the back - new stays are nice and wide

The reception blonde lady - we arrived 2:30 and she made us wait for 30 mins to check in although the rooms were ready. We went to her 2:55 and still same comment given “check in at 3 pm” So weird !!!!! First impression matters which was not pleasent for me evening the stay is beautiful

Very friendly hotel and our room the hay barn was excellent good location for visiting other areas

Only thing we didn.t like was the evening meal in the restaurant food and choice was very poor Very expensive for the menu offered although the breakfast was very good

Stayed in a room in the manor which was nice and big and good size bathroom

There’s a really ugly extension on the property at the back not on keeping with the property and funny enough doesn’t feature in any of the photos. Had I booked a room in there I would have been very disappointed. Evening meal was a real let down apart from waiting a long time to receive your food the quality of food was not good we had the pie and the pastry was that hard you couldn’t put your fork through and it must of been overcooked to the point there was little meat filling inside. We did complain and it was removed from our bill but we also had the wrong wine delivered to the table and we asked for water for the table which we never received. We were concerned with breakfast taking along time in the morning as we were attending a funeral that Lucy took our order on the night for the morning with a time which was great. Can’t fault Lucy she was excellent
