Hotel Laon

property location is superb. Just in front of beach. 2-4 minutes of walk to Songjeon Beach

Everything was good and up to the mark. Only thing i would like to mention is hotel should also provide atleast one Vegan or Vegetarian food item in buffet breakfast.

the room was spacious and clean, with a great ocean view. bathroom and shower were also clean. overall newly built so things seemed new. perfect for a party of four as there are two queen-sized beds. attached to the beach so it was great to take a stroll down the beach after breakfast. also liked that it was less crowded than Haeundae central area as this is in Songjeong Beach. didn't know Busan had a big surfing beach.

considering the building seemed new, didn't appreciate that the water drainage in the faucet sink was bad and didn't drain well. the window in the room was open when we checked in but the mosquito net wasn't drawn so we could have been bitten by mosquitos although thankfully, we weren't. the noise outside on the street, esp of motorcycles, was extremely loud, even from our 8th floor and we had to close the window to go to sleep in peace. while we didn't expect too much from the breakfast buffet that was included, it was quite disappointing. the only thing worth eating included hard boiled eggs, toast and fresh pineapple. the hot food was not edible and who eats super spicy and oily stir-fried pork for breakfast, anyway? even the white rice was cakey and bad.

I came in for the view and I sure got the best view ever, it was so beautiful I didn't want to leave the room. Very sleek design as well, very big rooms and even though the hotel is a bit off Busan's centre facing Songjeong Beach, I actually preferred that to Haeundae Beach, which is surrounded by skyscrapers and feels more touristy. It had a more local vibe, full of surfers, and quite close to the centre by public transport or an Uber taxi. Breakfast options were a bit more limited, but overall I'd absolutely go back for the view and modern rooms.

I am a returning customer. Both last time and now — love the view! LOVE the fact that it’s all Ocean view now. The rooms are very spacious and clean.

They have downsized quite a bit since they underwent renovations. There are no bidets and jacuzzis anymore in any of the rooms even though there are still photos of it in the gallery on their official Booking.com page. Their breakfast has already downsized! They have photos of various fruits, cereals, and eggs (which is what I experienced last time as I am a returning customer), but this time… it was barely anything. No eggs, not many fruits (except for some sorry looking oranges), no various types of cereal, nothing. The pasta tastes awful too. The greatest was not suited to foreigners’ tastes (more local Korean style rice and carbs).
