Rydges Parramatta

I had room service for dinner and the buffet for breakfast. Food, coffee and wine choices all excellent. Parking was very easy and Room was clean and comfortable. I could hear the neighbours and traffic but there was no noise from neighbours after 8:30 so wasn’t an issue. Gym facilities small but did the trick for a quick workout. Looking forward to coming again one day.

I liked the location to the event we were attending at Olympic park and that there was a shuttle service available. Staff all round were lovely from reception, restaurant and cleaning personnel. Booking in and out online and the site parking was easy. The view of the city from our room was great.

The price. I understand mark-ups for event days and every hotel does it but 150 % hurts. Yes, book earlier would be the answer. The room in itself was ok. Spacious, reasonably clean. Just well used mattress and pillows. The windows need cleaning.I understand that would be a less than often maintenance of the hotel but the view was it's biggest asset from my room. It's time for a review of the restaurant practices. Unfortunately, the restaurant was a let down. It wasn't clean. We were at the later time for breakfast. What was on offer was great variety but hot food was almost stone cold. After we got a spooning of the remaining scrambled eggs, a refill happened. We found a table that was clean but ate around 4 other tables that weren't for the entirely of eating our meal. Even the coffee machine made lukewarm coffee. It was a very expensive stay of $398 for the room $20 parking and $73 breakfast for two for one night.
