I always try to book here when I come to Taupo. It's always clean and tidy, fluffy towels, comfortable beds and pillows and its location is great, right next to the lake. I love the lockbox for each room! Makes everything so much easier. The welcome note is appreciated as are the cookies, hot chocolate and milk :) .
There is nothing I dont like.

Great location, clean, decent space and spa.
Good staff and service.
Such a shame as there were two annoying problems - terrible hot water supply and internet / wifi.
Terrible supply of hot water and internet / wifi.
Hot water didn’t even last until one person finished having their shower -.-
So imagine the spa - starts filling warm, and then it turns cold, so you can’t even enjoy the in-room spa properly. Ugh! And you got to wait for over 2hrs for the hot water to replenish. 😒🙄😒
