Thambapanni Retreat

The hotel is slightly set back and feels a bit like a jungle retreat. The room was large and clean, with AC and tea/ coffee facilities - I loved sitting on my balcony with a cuppa and watching the wildlife! The team under Anil went out of their way to make my stay relaxing and enjoyable: chef Lionel came to ask exactly how I liked my Sri Lankan breakfast and cooked it to perfection, with Chanu always delivering it with a smile. The yoga sessions were a great start to the morning, followed by some massages/ spa treatments wih Amindu (the herb powder scrub and steam bath is especially recommended). Added bonus is the sister hotel located on the beach (some 7 minutes walk away), where you can use loungers and changing rooms. Recommended!

Not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Wry friendly and helpful staff in a great location. Bonus for us that we got a free upgrade to our room and that we could also use the pools at the other resorts

We had a minor leak in our roof, but it was monsoon rain!

Ein sehr kompetentes Team, super Hotel und ein erstklassiger Service wie gewohnt.

Location was great very central. Staff were lovely and tried to rectify the issues we had with our room. Good hot water and pressure in shower.

Rooms appear worn and ours had a foist smell . We were moved which was great But A/C not functioning well due to the extreme heat they have been facing in recent months. Ants were an issue. And there are a lot of stairs to the rooms with no lift. Pool is pretty much in the reception area which isn’t ideal.
