Faded grandeur and easy to imagine how it would have been back in the day. Breakfast and dinner good. Staff delightful. Grounds lovely to walk round and there would be plenty of room to sit outside weather permitting. Perfect setting for murder mystery or Sherlock Holmes!
Would have liked a breakdown of the bill as didn’t feel it gave enough information so couldn’t fathom out what exactly we paid for as nothing itemised.

Lovely historic building with large rooms, friendly staff, ample parking, breakfast cooked to order, comfortable bed.
In need of some TLC, lack of toiletries

Generous bedroom size. Nice dining area with triple aspect windows to allow light flow and the views! Good quality food is cooked to order and David is a delightful young man!
Marmalade is yummy!!
The breakfast cart has seen better days! Just offer tea/coffee and toast with homemade marmalade whilst waiting for a nicely cooked breakfast would leave a better impression!

It was beautiful
The property was lovely however, there was a curfew of 23:00 on the property which was not highlighted before booking. We went to a party and had to leave early so there was absolutely no point in even booking this hotel.
