The staff was great. The snorkeling opportunities were amazing. The village tour was a highlight. Food was great. We really felt we had our own private slice of paradise. We had a lot of private quiet time as well. We were even able to see the Orange Dove and many other beautiful birds. Qamea is a remote Island and everything has to be grown onsite or brought in from somewhere far away. Everything is a bit rustic, but that is exactly its charm. This is a true Fijian experience, sometimes a little rough around the edges - not a perfect, but generic, experience like you would get in Nadi or other easier to reach destinations.

Would have liked to have had more land-based activity options on the Island of Qamea itself. But no real complaints.

Spacious and clean beach front villa; very private location, a good escape during crowded holiday season; lovely staff who took good care of us personally; close to Taveuni Island and the resort is willing to cater to our special needs with tours; the staff sang us a farewell song upon our departure, which was truly touching.

The dive shop requires some major improvement. My friend is an experienced diver and was unfortunately let down by the poor selection of diving spots and inexperienced crew. More differentiated diving options should be considered. We went on complimentary snorkeling and the guy at the dive shop said he had to clock out and wouldn’t move the boat. We talked him into the taking us along and ended up with only 30min swimming nearby. In addition, the options of food are rather limited and the quality is below the bar. We certainly understand food variety is hard on an island, but not even brewing good coffee is indeed disappointing. Last but not least, nothing against the resort, after sunset, the meadows are literally covered by local ground frogs. If you are amphibian-phobic, watch out.

Qamea is beyond beautiful. Probably the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed. The resort is impeccably clean, and the staff are kind and on top of their responsibilities. They felt like family by the time I left.
