friendly staff, a clean room and according to my wife, a super veggie breakfast. Well appointed with quality fittings and the car park was nearby. Position is very good for the promenade.

Quality carpet but with people not taking their shoes off in the room, could do with cleaning.

From the moment we entered the hotel, everything there was "quintessential seaside England." The pub/check-in area was staffed with extremely nice, welcoming folks. Our room was beyond-our-expectations nice - clean, spacious and quiet. The dinners and complementary breakfasts were excellent. The free parking was a private lot within 1/2 block of the hotel. The location was only a short distance to the north end of the beach which is very walkable into the center of town. Really, the best thing about the hotel was its staff - everyone on it couldn't have been nicer.

Being provided with parking directions before check-in would have been helpful. By no means a "deal breaker," we had to find a rare street parking spot before we checked in. Also, our room, itself, was "5-star," but our "ocean view" fell a little short of that.

I liked the space provided in the suite I booked and that I could regulate my own temperature for the room.

Bathroom: door did not close properly easily rectified with easing of the bottom of the door. Floor of bathroom not clean, I saw some white fluff around the edge of the floor and wiped it with a baby wipe - baby wipe was black. Tried also other areas of floor which were not clean. Most urgent and important is that there is no grab rail on the wall inside the bath - very dangerous trying to negotiate a shower and trying to get out - you need this installing on all your showers - my friend couldn't use his 'wet room' shower as nothing to hold onto. Cleaning overall of room and hotel not really up to standard.
