Location and apt size

3rd floor sucked. Narrow stairs.

Eclectic interior with new discoveries every time you looked at a wall. Very fun and inviting.

The door took some practice to learn how to lock them.

I will start by saying we were only there for one night. The host was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean and had what we needed. The location was phenomenal, walking distance to the train station and the Royal Mile. There is a pub downstairs that we enjoyed. It was a little noisy, but we ran white noise and did not have trouble sleeping.

It was not a problem for us as we are in good physical shape, but the stairs could be challenging for anyone with health issues.

Good location and has potential. Good size property. Very good location to go out and about during the day. Bed's were clean & comfortable.

1. No check in information was provided to me, I called the property contact number and no answer until i got a call back 5 hours later around the check in time 15.00 where i had to meet the host at a pizza shop to get our keys! Had i not contacted the property I have no doubt me and my family would have still been sitting there with no information. 2. There was no hot water in the bathroom & kitchen sink, I looked in the cupboard where the hot water tank was and the cover for the immersion heater was missing exposing potentially live terminals, Being an electrician i know this is not safe. 3. Bathroom Sink taps loose no plug and very little water flow out of them. 4. Toilet flush top missing so the button was floating about to press to flush the toilet. 5. People in and out through the main door slamming it through the night and early hours of the morning waking us up as it was a massive bang when it closed. 6. There was a lot of Noise from the road and pubs below most of the night and into the early hours of the morning. 7. Toilet extractor fan did not work. 8. The oven selector knob was missing so we could not use the oven. 9. Kitchen smoke alarm was missing just the base of the unit left on the ceiling. 10. The TV had no channels other than Youtube. 11. Broken light switch in the living room & lamps missing in the hallway. 12. This property has potential but is generally tired and needs some TLC to make it a great stay.
