Like the spacious living room and bedroom. Only that the TV is at an awkward position where it is not directly in front of the sofa. Also love the swimming pool! The water is very cold though, but the pool size is great.

The food for breakfast can have more variations suitable to accomodate local n foreign tourist.

Very poorly maintained. Fridge had stains. So did bed linen.

Bed and linen not comfortable. Overall feeling of poor hygiene. Very limited f&b options. Breakfast buffet wasn’t good either.

Colmar Tropicale is a novelty getaway if guests want a French-themed feel without having to go to France. They have some atttactions like the Japanese Village (which I did not remember existed when I visited about 20 years ago). Guests will take a safari-like lorry to the other attractions around the resort area. Good that the resort put up many warning signs to keep windows closed due to monkey problem. We were lucky to get a room facing the hills, not the "village square", even then we had one monkey coming to our balcony.

The resort has seen better days. It has become quite a shadow of itself. The monkeys have started to come in (similar to other resorts like in Tioman). Many of the fixtures in the room could get maintenance. Some of the parquet tiles are loose, I had to place the floor towel over for safety. The bathroom fixture does not work, if opting for shower head or tap. The air-conditioner in the living room does not work, but because the room can get cold at night due to its location, we did not bother for the staff to look into it. It was also strange that there is no microwave provided for a room with kitchenette.
